"Blog Y2 026 - Long for God's Living Water"

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. Psalm 42:1.

This verse beautifully expresses the deep longing of a soul that thirsts for God. Just as a deer urgently seeks water to quench its thirst and sustain its life, our soul, too, craves the presence of God to be spiritually nourished and refreshed. The psalmist compares his desperation for God to the natural, life-sustaining thirst of a deer. He reminds us that only God can satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. When we experience spiritual dryness and hardships or feel distant from God, we are reminded to come to Him, the source of living water. Nothing else in this world can truly fulfill us or give us lasting peace. As we draw near to God, He fills us with His love, grace, and presence. Do you thirst for God and seek His living water to satisfy your soul?  Matthew 5:6 says: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled."

மானானது நீரோடைகளை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுவதுபோல, தேவனே, என் ஆத்துமா உம்மை வாஞ்சித்துக் கதறுகிறது. சங்கீதம் 42:1.

தேவனுக்காக தாகமாயிருக்கும் ஓர் ஆத்துமாவின் ஆழ்ந்த ஏக்கத்தை இந்த வசனம் அழகாக வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. ஒரு மான் தாகத்தை தீர்த்துக்கொண்டு தன் உயிரை காக்க தண்ணீர் தேடி விரைவாக ஓடுவது போலவே, நமது ஆத்துமாவும் ஆன்மீக ரீதியில் போஷிக்கப்பட்டு புத்துணர்ச்சி பெற தேவனின் பிரசன்னத்தை விரும்புகிறது. சங்கீதக்காரன் தேவனுக்கான தனது விரக்தியை ஒரு மானின் இயற்கையான, உயிரைக் காக்கும் தாகத்துடன் ஒப்பிடுகிறார். நம் இதயங்களின் ஆழமான தேவைகளை தேவன் மட்டுமே பூர்த்தி செய்ய முடியும் என்பதை நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறார். ஆவிக்குரிய வறட்சியையும் கஷ்டங்களையும் நாம் அனுபவிக்கும்போது அல்லது தேவனிடமிருந்து தூரமாக இருப்பதாக உணரும்போது, ஜீவ தண்ணீரின் ஆதாரமான அவரிடம் வர நாம் நினைவூட்டப்படுகிறோம். இந்த உலகத்தில் வேறு எதுவும் உண்மையாக நம்மை நிறைவு செய்யவோ அல்லது நிலையான சமாதானத்தையோ தர முடியாது. நாம் தேவனிடம் நெருங்கி வரும்போது, அவர் தம்முடைய அன்பு, கிருபை மற்றும் பிரசன்னத்தால் நம்மை நிரப்புகிறர். நீங்கள் தேவன்மேல்  தாகமாயிருந்து, உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவை திருப்திப்படுத்த அவர் கொடுக்கும் ஜீவ தண்ணீரைத் தேடுகிறீர்களா? மத்தேயு 5:6 சொல்லுகிறது: “நீதியின்மேல் பசிதாகமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைவார்கள்.”
