"God is Our Great Physician"

Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6

This is a great promise of healing. It speaks of God’s heart towards His people to bring healing, good health, prosperity, and protection. God wants us to trust Him to receive the abundance of peace and truth. He is our great physician who heals our hearts and gives us peace when we call upon His name. He restores our health and heals our wounds. In Jeremiah 30:17, prophet Jeremiah says, "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord."

"God protects us from visible and invisible enemies."

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. Psalm 121:8. The Lord will guard our going out and our coming in. 'Going out' refers to a person leaving home in the morning for labor, and 'coming in' refers to their return home after work. He will guard and protect every area of our lives. Today's promise is that the Lord watches over His people every day. When we come before the Lord in prayer and lift all things up to Him, simply trusting Him at His word, we invite Him into those areas of our lives. We enable His mighty hand to move in unseen ways to protect us from threats that we cannot see. We have an invisible enemy who desires to destroy us, but when we trust in the Lord and His promises, He will protect us from all evil. "God's blessings are unchangeable and eternal."

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19. This chapter, Numbers 23, shows how God's power and blessings are unchangeable. Even though the King of Moab, Balak, tries hard to curse the Israelites by hiring the prophet Balaam, God intervenes, and Balaam has no choice but to obey God. God is unchangeable and cannot be bribed or impressed with riches, unlike Balaam. God is not a man; He does not lie or change His mind as humans do. This passage teaches us to trust that God always protects us and reminds us that no curse or bad intention can stop His blessings for us. God is perfect in everything He thinks and does. As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country. Proverbs 25:25. In life’s difficult moments, we often find ourselves weary, thirsty for hope, and longing for relief. This verse highlights the importance of timely encouragement. King Solomon compares good news to a refreshing cup of cold water given to a weary soul who has been working hard, worn out, and very thirsty. In the broader context, Solomon had previously taught that a trustworthy messenger brings refreshment to his master, but in this verse, the focus moves to the importance of the message itself. What good news can you share today to lift someone's spirit and bring encouragement? The Bible says that a good report makes the bones healthy. Good news is a powerful gift. When was the last time you encouraged a distant friend? Blog # 327 - "Confidently Wait for the Lord's Timing"

  I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1. In this verse, King David waited upon the Lord without an immediate answer. He waited diligently and earnestly, patiently and perseveringly, until God was pleased to help him. God inclined to him and heard his cry. The word "inclined" conveys the sense of God bending down to David in his affliction, removing any perceived distance between the Lord and His servant. When David knew God heard his cry, he was confident of a favorable answer. In the same way, God inclines to us and hears our cry when we wait patiently for Him. We need to wait for His timing to see miracles happening in our lives. He acts in His own way and at His preferred time to develop our faith in His Word and to enlarge our trust in His unfailing goodness and grace. I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love, and I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them. Hosea 11:4. Just as a father loves his son, so God loved Israel and delivered His people from slavery in Egypt. Though they turned to idols, God’s love remained, and He cared for them. He demonstrated His love by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us. Through His teachings, suffering, and death, He redeems and transforms us, binding us to Himself. In return, we are called to love Him for all He has done and continues to do. He desires a close relationship with us daily. Will you love God and seek a closer relationship with Him for all He has done for you? "Humility leads to exaltation; pride, downfall."

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12. It is a reminder that God works to humble those who try to exalt themselves. At the same time, God works to lift up those who serve and honor others with a humble heart. Apostle Paul says that Jesus was God, and yet, out of His great love for us, He chose to come to earth as a human. Jesus even chose to obey God the Father to the point of a painful death on the cross for our sins. Jesus is the perfect example of humility, and we are called to follow His example.
