"Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil"

Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6

It is hard to be content in everything, but cultivating contentment is an important quality that we should strive for. In today's verse, Apostle Paul writes to Timothy about the attitude God's people should have towards money. He warns that those who aspire to become rich may fall into foolish traps, leading them into destruction. Paul emphasizes that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.  Many who want to follow God faithfully are corrupted by the deceitful nature of money. However, Paul teaches that godliness with contentment is great gain. In Hebrews 13:5, Apostle Paul says, "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have."

போதுமென்கிற மனதுடனே கூடிய தேவபக்தியே மிகுந்த ஆதாயம். 1 தீமோத்தேயு 6:6 

எல்லாவற்றிலும் திருப்தியாக இருப்பது கடினம், ஆனால் மனநிறைவை வளர்ப்பது என்பது நாம் பாடுபட வேண்டிய ஒரு முக்கியமான குணம்.  இன்றைய வசனத்தில், அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் தீமோத்தேயுவுக்கு கடவுளுடைய மக்கள் பணத்தின் மீது வைத்திருக்க வேண்டிய மனப்பான்மை பற்றி எழுதுகிறார்.  பணக்காரர்களாக ஆவதற்கு ஆசைப்படுபவர்கள் முட்டாள்தனமான பொறிகளில் விழுந்து, அவர்களை அழிவுக்கு இட்டுச் செல்லக்கூடும் என்று அவர் எச்சரிக்கிறார்.  பண ஆசை எல்லாவிதமான தீமைகளுக்கும் வேர் என்று பவுல் வலியுறுத்துகிறார்.  கடவுளை உண்மையாக பின்பற்ற விரும்பும் பலர் பணத்தின் வஞ்சக குணத்தால் கெடுக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.  இருப்பினும், மனநிறைவுடன் கூடிய தேவபக்தி பெரும் ஆதாயம் என்று பவுல் போதிக்கிறார்.  எபிரேயர் 13:5-ல், பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலன் கூறுகிறார், "நீங்கள் பணஆசை யில்லாதவர்களாய் நடந்து, உங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறவைகள் போதுமென்று எண்ணுங்கள்."
