"Seek The LORD and lack nothing"

The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Psalm 34:10

In today's verse, King David is talking about young lions, symbolizing strength and self-reliance. Yet, even these mighty creatures may sometimes lack, whereas those who seek the Lord will never lack anything. Even the strong and the wealthy may go weak and hungry, but when we seek the Lord with all our hearts, with all our minds, and with our strength, we lack nothing. King David was a shepherd and he knew how shepherds care for their sheep. In the Psalms he compares our God to a good shepherd, ensuring that we lack nothing. Apostle Paul said to the people of Philippi, "And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
