"Be Persistent in Asking, Seeking, Knocking (Praying)"

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that whoever asks will receive, whoever seeks will find, and whoever knocks will find an open door. Since God loves and cares for His children, Jesus tells them to ask, seek, and knock. Behind these words is the intent of Jesus: Be persistent! Keep asking! Continue seeking! Don't quit knocking! In 1 Kings 3, King Solomon asked God for a discerning heart to judge the people and distinguish right from wrong, which pleased the Lord. God granted him great wisdom and also gave him wealth and honor—blessings Solomon hadn't requested. Solomon's wise choice brought him additional rewards. Are you still seeking and knocking for the door to open? Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Be of faith in Jesus. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. As 1 John 3:22 says, "And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight."

கேளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது கண்டடைவீர்கள்; தட்டுங்கள் அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும். மத்தேயு 7:7.

மலைப்பிரசங்கத்தில், இயேசு கேட்கிறவன் எவனும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுவான், தேடுகிற எவனும் கண்டுபிடிப்பான், தட்டுகிற எவனுக்கும் திறந்த கதவு  வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்று கூறுகிறார். தேவன் தம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளை நேசித்து கவனித்துக்கொள்வதால், இயேசு அவர்களிடம் கேட்கவும், தேடவும், தட்டவும் சொல்கிறார். இந்த வார்த்தைகளுக்குப் பின்னால் இயேசுவின் நோக்கம் உள்ளது: விடாமுயற்சியுடன் இருங்கள்! கேட்டுக்கொண்டே இருங்கள்! தேடுகிறதைத் தொடருங்கள்! தட்டுவதை நிறுத்தாதேயுங்கள்! என்ற நோக்கமேயாகும். 1 இராஜாக்கள் 3ல், சாலொமோன் ராஜா ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கவும், சரி எது தவறு என்பதைப் பகுத்தறியவும், விவேகமுள்ள இருதயத்தை தேவனிடத்தில் கேட்டார், இது கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமாக இருந்தது . அதனால் தேவன் அவருக்கு மிகுந்த ஞானத்தைக் கொடுத்ததுடன், அவர் கேட்க்காத செல்வத்தையும், கனத்தையும் கொடுத்தார். சாலொமோன் ஞானமாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தது அவருக்கு கூடுதலான ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தது. நீங்கள் இன்னும் கர்தரைத் தேடுகிறீர்களா, வழி  திறக்க தட்டுகிறீர்களா? கேட்டுக்கொண்டே இருங்கள், நீங்கள் கேட்பதைப் பெறுவீர்கள். தேடிக்கொண்டே இருங்கள், அப்பொழுது கண்டடைவீர்கள். தட்டிக்கொண்டே இருங்கள், அப்பொழுது கதவு உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும். இயேசுவில் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள். 1யோவான் 3:22 சொல்லுகிறது, “அவருடைய கற்பனைகளை நாம் கைக்கொண்டு அவருக்குமுன்பாகப் பிரியமானவைகளைச் செய்கிறபடியினால் நாம் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறதெதுவோ அதை அவராலே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறோம்.”
