Blog # 362 - "Trust in persistent prayer and patience"

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? Luke 18:7.

This verse is a parable of Jesus telling His disciples about the persistent widow. In the parable, Jesus describes a widow who seeks justice. At first, the judge refuses to help her, but the widow persistently pleads for justice. Eventually, the judge grants her request, not because he cares about justice, but because he is worn down by her continual pleas. Jesus uses this parable to teach His disciples about the importance of patience, persistent prayer, and faith in God's justice. In the same way, Jesus is telling us today that we should wait patiently with faith in prayer, trusting that we will receive a miracle from Him without losing hope. Are you practicing patience and persistent prayer, trusting that God will bring justice and miracles in His timing? Romans 12:12 says: “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.”

அந்தப்படியே தேவன் தம்மை நோக்கி இரவும் பகலும் கூப்பிடுகிறவர்களாகிய தம்மால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களின் விஷயத்தில் நீடிய பொறுமையுள்ளவராயிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யாமலிருப்பாரோ?  லூக்கா 18:7.

 

இந்த வசனம் இயேசு தம் சீஷர்களுக்கு, விடாப்பிடியான விதவையைப் பற்றி கூறும் உவமையாகும். இயேசு நீதியை நாடும் ஒரு விதவையை விவரிக்கிறார். முதலில், நீதிபதி அவளுக்கு உதவ மறுக்கிறார், ஆனால் விதவை நீதிக்காக விடாமல் மன்றாடுகிறாள். கடைசியில், நீதிபதி அவளுடைய வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார், அவர் நீதியைப் பற்றி கவலைப்படுவதால் அல்ல, ஆனால் அந்த விதவை தன்னை எப்பொழுதும் தொந்தரவு செய்கிறபடியினால், அவளுக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்தார். இந்த உவமையின் மூலம், இயேசு தம் சீடர்களுக்கு பொறுமை, தொடர்ந்து ஜெபம் செய்யும் மனப்பான்மை, மற்றும் தேவனின் நீதியில் விசுவாசம் ஆகியவற்றைக் கற்றுத்தருகிறார். அதேபோல், இன்றும், நாம் நம்பிக்கையை இழக்காமல், அவரிடமிருந்து ஒரு அற்புதம் பெறுவோம் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் ஜெபத்தில் பொறுமையாக காத்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்று இயேசு நமக்கு சொல்லிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார். தேவன் தம்முடைய நேரத்தில் நீதியையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்வார் என்று நம்பி, நீங்கள் பொறுமையையும் இடைவிடாத ஜெபத்தையும் கடைப்பிடிக்கிறீர்களா? ரோமர் 12:12 கூறுகிறது: “ நம்பிக்கையிலே சந்தோஷமாயிருங்கள்; உபத்திரவத்திலே பொறுமையாயிருங்கள்; ஜெபத்திலே உறுதியாய்த் தரித்திருங்கள்.”
