"Blog Y2 057 - Shine His Light in Your Life."

Image
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 Here in this scripture, Jesus calls Himself the light of the world. In this, Jesus reveals Himself as the ultimate source of spiritual light and truth. His light shines in the spiritual darkness, and neither darkness nor evil can quench the light of His love. For God is the light of lights, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him. He is the shining light that alone enlightens the darkened soul of man. He gives His light to all people coming into the world and speaks the light of life to whoever believes in Him for salvation. We’re called to walk in His light. Walking in the light also means actively seeking Him daily—through prayer, reading His Word, and aligning our lives with His teachings. As we grow closer to Him, His light within us grows brighter, and we, too, become beacons to others. Just as Jesus is the Light of the world, He calls us to shine His light in our

In mercy and truth, atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil. Proverbs 16:6. This verse explains that the combination of God’s mercy and truth working together removes iniquity. Iniquity refers to wickedness, sin, and moral corruption. It emphasizes that only through the combination of God’s mercy and truth can our sins be cleansed and forgiven. This is highlighted in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who, through His death and resurrection, provided the ultimate expression of God’s mercy and truth, thereby removing humanity’s sin and iniquity. The second part of the verse states, "and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil."  Here, the fear of the Lord enables people to turn away from evil. This fear motivates believers to resist temptation, turn from sin, and live in obedience to God’s commands. It is the fear of the Lord that leads to a transformed heart and a desire to live a life pleasing to God. Do you walk in th

"Blog Y2 055 - Pursue righteousness with spiritual hunger."

Image
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6. In this verse, Jesus refers to a spiritual hunger and thirst for righteousness. Righteousness means living in the right relationship with God and with others. We act with righteousness when we live justly, honestly, and faithfully according to God's word. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. We need to pursue righteousness. If we are hungry and thirsty for God, we will spend more time meditating on His word. We will also spend more time singing, praising, and praying to Him. Our hunger for God will compel us to do something to fulfill that need. God will bless us when we seek His righteousness. Will you actively pursue the righteousness of God in your life?  Matthew 6:33 says: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” நீதியின்மேல் பசிதாகமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் திருப்தியடை

"Blog Y2 054 - Seek God's Light and Walk in Faith"

Image
For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Psalm 36:9. King David praised God as He is both the fountain of life; and the source of true light. As the fountain of living waters, He gives joy to those who trust in Him. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.  Like David, we are called to seek God's light, follow His path, and walk in faith. The Gospel of John shows that Jesus came to give life and light to all who believe in Him.  He is the life giver and He is the one who can enlighten our darkness.  He wants us to walk in His light. Are you truly seeking God’s light and walking in His path, as David did? John 8:12 says: "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." ஜீவஊற்று உம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய வெளிச்சத்திலே வெளிச்சம் காண்கிறோம். சங்கீதம் 36:9. தாவீது ராஜா தேவனை ஜீவ ஊற்று மற்றும் உண்மையான

"Blog Y2 053 - Walking with God toward perfection"

Image
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48. Jesus teaches that God's standard of righteousness is complete and flawless: we must aim to be perfect, just as our heavenly Father is perfect. He doesn’t expect us to be perfect in the sense that we never sin. He knows we sin and has made provision for that through Jesus’ high priestly work. God's eternal plan for humanity is designed in such a way that we are unable to obey His commands in our own strength, but He allows us to attempt to reach perfection. He knows our fleshly efforts will ultimately end in failure! In Genesis 6:9 , the Bible describes Noah as "A just man, perfect in his generations." Noah walked with God. Like Noah, walking with God and faithfully following His words will lead us toward perfection. Do you strive to walk with God toward perfection, like Noah? 2 Samuel 22:31 says: "As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shiel

"Blog Y2 052 - Living by God's Word daily"

Image
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22. Apostle James emphasizes the need to act on what we hear. He warns that we deceive ourselves if we think we can be hearers only and not doers of the Word. Those who sincerely love God are the ones who keep His commands. God desires that those who hear His Word become authentic followers of Jesus—disciples who obey the Lord’s teachings out of love for their Heavenly Father. Jesus also gave a stern warning to those who hear God's words but fail to act on them in Matthew 7:21,  "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven."  As faith without works is dead, merely hearing God's Word without putting it into practice also deadens our spiritual life. The cleansing and justifying power of God's Word is experienced only when we live according to it. Are you living as both a hearer and doer of God's Word

"Blog Y2 051 - Humbly trust God to lift you up"

Image
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10. Apostle James reminds us to humble ourselves before God's face, and He will lift us up in His time. Humbleness and humility both refer to the quality of being modest. In the Bible, humility is presented as the practice of meekness, obedience to God, self-respect, respect for others, submissiveness, and modesty. This verse is a call to action for us to humble ourselves before God and to approach Him reverently. Paul described Jesus’s life on earth in Philippians 2:8,9: He became a servant, even unto death, and the Father exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name. Most of the time, we expect to be recognized and glorified, and we feel disappointed when things don’t go our way. However, God asks us to abandon the world's way of pursuing recognition and glory. Instead, He calls us to trust Him to exalt us at the right time without seeking that glory for ourselve

"Blog Y2 050 - Crave for the Pure Spiritual Word"

Image
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow.  1 Peter 2:2. Apostle Peter says that we must grow in our salvation. Babies grow by drinking milk, which provides all the nourishment their bodies need in the early months of life. But it has to be good milk. Using this as an illustration, Peter refers to the "pure spiritual milk" of God's Word. We must learn to crave the undiluted Word of God, just as a newborn craves milk. By drinking this spiritual milk—taking in God's Word and drawing close to Christ—we will continue to grow in our salvation. Our growth should produce fruit and help others grow and bear fruit as well. How is your spiritual growth? Are you thirsty for the Word of God? Colossians 2:6,7 says: “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,  rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” நீங்கள் வளரும்படி, புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளைப்ப

"Blog Y2 049 - Abundant Blessings for Those Who Trust"

Image
Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! Psalm 31:19. In this Psalm, King David praises God for His goodness and abundant blessings stored up for those who fear and trust Him. God’s goodness reflects His generosity, extending far beyond anything we can imagine, demonstrating His infinitely generous attitude toward us. The psalmist declares that the Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. By nature, God desires to bring joy and blessings to all His creation. His eternal storehouse overflows into the lives of those who love Him.  The Lord is good and upright. He knows His own—those who believe in His gift of salvation, trust His unconditional love, honor His holy name, and take refuge in His mighty protection. For those who believe, He has prepared grace upon grace and blessing upon blessing, securing them in Christ forever. We can exper

"Blog Y2 048 - Focus on God during tough times"

For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. 1 Peter 2:19. Apostle Peter is saying that when we face the worst in life, like unfair criticism, that's when we need to focus on God and the grace He gave us through Jesus. In life, we often bring suffering on ourselves through our own actions. Sometimes what we call "suffering for Jesus" is really the result of our own selfishness or carelessness.  Peter reminds us that there’s no reward for suffering caused by our own mistakes. Jesus didn’t sin or deceive; He only suffered for doing what was right. We should follow His example, being righteous, thoughtful, and careful in all we do. That way, if we suffer, it will truly be for the Lord.  Do you focus on God’s grace when facing unfair criticism? 1 Peter 3:14,15 says: “ But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God

"Blog Y2 047 - Righteous Efforts Lead to Life."

Image
The labor of the righteous leads to life, The wages of the wicked to sin. Proverbs 10:16. The world has both righteous and wicked men. The efforts of a righteous man lead to godliness and life, while the efforts of a wicked man lead to sin and death. Honest labor brings its own reward through the blessing of God, resulting in a long and peaceful life. The goal of a good person's work is to live honestly without resorting to sinful actions. As a result, their hard work preserves their life and helps them pursue eternal life. On the other hand, the efforts of wicked people lead them into sin. Their labor fuels their pride, luxury, and focus on worldly things, often leading to early death and, without repentance, eternal death. What kind of life are you living—righteous or wicked? "Blog Y2 046 - Trust in God's Protection and Provision."

Image
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14. This is a powerful declaration of God's faithfulness and protection. The verse from Exodus tells the story of the Israelites trapped between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army. They were filled with fear, but Moses reassured them that God would fight for them. The verse highlights God's protection and provision, showing that even in impossible situations, we can trust Him to defend and deliver us. The Israelites, recently freed from slavery, faced the Red Sea as Pharaoh pursued them. When they felt helpless, God promised through Moses to fight on their behalf, reminding them to trust in Him during overwhelming challenges. Similarly, today, God is reminding us to trust Him. Do you trust God's faithfulness and protection in overwhelming situations, as the Israelites did? Deuteronomy 1:30 says: “The LORD your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt befor

Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. Psalm 44:5. The verse highlights the theme of faith and reliance on God's strength. Despite their distress, the Israelites continue to affirm their trust in God's power and His sovereignty over their enemies. It is a declaration of their faith in God's ability to deliver them from their troubles and grant them victory. We see God's protection, power, and victory over everything. We know how David killed Goliath in the name of the Lord. The psalmist says that we shall tread upon the lion and the cobra; the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot with God’s authority. In the same way, we can push down our adversaries and trample the enemy who rises up against us. Will you trust in God's strength to help you overcome your adversaries and grant you victory? Psalm 60:12 says: “Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our en

Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 136:23. This psalm is a hymn of thanksgiving for God's enduring love and constant presence. The repetition of the phrase "for His mercy endures forever" at the end of each verse in this psalm serves as a reminder of God's unconditional love and care for us. Today's verse speaks about God's faithfulness and unchanging nature, as well as the hope and reassurance that His mercy is always available to those in need. The phrase "in our lowly state" conveys the idea of being in a state of poverty, oppression, or helplessness. It reminds us that God remembers us in our weakness and suffering, and He extends His mercy toward us. In this world, we sometimes feel all alone, but He is with us in our lowly state. Are you trusting in God's mercy and presence during times of weakness or loneliness? Lamentations 3:22-23 says: “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because H

"Blog Y2 043 - Stand Strong in God’s Strength."

Image
If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small. Proverbs 24:10. We all face difficulties, but what kind of person are we in those times of trouble? King Solomon tells us that if we falter or fall apart in times of adversity, it shows that we weren’t very strong to begin with. Adversity is a normal part of life. We should not crumble under pressure. Apostle Paul encouraged the church in Galatia not to grow weary in doing what God had called them to do. We need to remember that we are never called to fight these battles alone or rely solely on our own strength. Our strength comes from the Lord.  We cannot stand against the enemy of our soul in our own power, only in God’s strength. How do you respond in times of adversity, relying on your strength or trusting in the Lord's power? Remember that!  Ephesians 6:10 says,' Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.' ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் நீ சோர்ந்துபோவாயானால், உன் பெலன் குறுகினது. நீதிமொழி

"Blog Y2 042 - Good News Refreshes the Weary Soul"

Image
As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country. Proverbs 25:25. In life’s difficult moments, we often find ourselves weary, thirsty for hope, and longing for relief. This verse highlights the importance of timely encouragement. King Solomon compares good news to a refreshing cup of cold water given to a weary soul who has been working hard, worn out, and very thirsty. In the broader context, Solomon had previously taught that a trustworthy messenger brings refreshment to his master, but in this verse, the focus moves to the importance of the message itself. What good news can you share today to lift someone's spirit and bring encouragement? The Bible says that a good report makes the bones healthy. Good news is a powerful gift. When was the last time you encouraged a distant friend? Even the smallest encouragement can be like cold water to a soul in need.  Proverbs 16:24 says: “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.”

"Blog Y2 041 - Reflect God's love through actions"

Image
No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 1 John 4:12. The Apostle John reminds us that no one has seen God in His true form because He is a spiritual being, and our human eyes can only perceive physical things. Like the wind, God is invisible. Even in the Bible, when figures like Abraham or Gideon encountered God or angels, they did not see God's full nature. Today, we don’t need to physically see God to know Him. When we love one another, we "see" God through our actions. When we show love, God abides in us, and His love helps us grow spiritually. Whatever is incomplete or imperfect in our lives, God's love fills those gaps. His love is the greatest gift, providing everything we need to live for Him and to love others. If we truly grasp the depth of God’s love and reflect it in our lives, we won’t feel the need to search for other experiences or teachings—His love makes us whole. Are you reflect

"Blog Y2 040 - Salvation Comes Through God's Mercy"

Image
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5. Today's verse emphasizes how we receive salvation and grow in our faith. Salvation is not something we can achieve on our own; it comes only from God and through His mercy. It includes "the washing of regeneration," referring to the spiritual rebirth and cleansing that occurs when a person accepts Christ. God washes us from sin through the blood of Christ, and this cleansing produces new life in Him. At that moment, a person’s life is "regenerated" or "made new." The Holy Spirit renews our lives when we come to faith in Christ. The term "renewing" comes from two words: again and new . This renewal involves a gradual transformation into the likeness of Christ, and the power for this transformation comes through the Holy Spirit. Renewal is a profound internal change that begi

May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you! Deuteronomy 1:11. This verse emphasizes the themes of divine blessing and multiplication, rooted in God's earlier promises to Abraham. The context of this verse is the Israelites, who had wandered in the wilderness for forty years and were now about to enter the land God had promised to their ancestors. Moses, as their leader, reminded them of God's faithfulness and urged them to remain faithful to Him. The phrase "a thousand times so many more" symbolizes abundance, reflecting God's power to bless His people beyond their own efforts. This verse serves as a reminder that God is the ultimate source of our blessings and that He will fulfill His promises to us. Will you trust in God's faithfulness to bless and fulfill His promises in your life?  Psalm 115:14-15 says: "May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your childre

"Blog Y2 038 - Joy Comes in the Morning after Sorrow"

Image
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5. This verse highlights two key contrasts: God's anger versus His favor and weeping versus joy. It emphasizes the difference between God’s momentary anger and His enduring favor. While God may discipline us, His anger is brief, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Similarly, weeping in the night represents a time of sorrow and hardship, but the morning represents joy. This joy isn’t just relief—it’s a "joyful shout," symbolizing deep praise after enduring struggles. The verse reminds us that pain and suffering are temporary. God's faithfulness ensures that even after the hardest nights, joy will come in the morning and remain with us throughout our lives if we follow Him faithfully and trust in Him. Are you trusting in God's faithfulness to bring joy after your struggles and hardships?   Isaiah 54:7 says: “For a mere moment I have forsaken

"Blog Y2 037 - Praise God for Strength and Protection"

To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy. Psalm 59:17. This is a powerful promise of strength and protection. In this verse, the act of singing reflects the psalmist's desire to honor and glorify God for His faithfulness and goodness. This psalm is a prayer for deliverance and protection, where King David cries out to God for help while being pursued by enemies seeking to destroy him. In the midst of his distress, David acknowledges God as his strength, stronghold, and fortress, expressing confidence in God’s ability to rescue him from his enemies. By this verse, God reminds us to sing and praise Him in all our situations. Will you sing and praise God, trusting in Him as your strength and protector in all situations? Psalm 28:7 says: “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.” என் பெலனே, உம்மைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுவேன்; தேவன் எனக்கு

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:5. King David often speaks to his soul, encouraging himself to have hope in God and to glorify Him. In this verse, his praise quickly turns to sorrow and then to hope. He knew from past experiences that God would always be available when he needed Him. Aware of God's faithfulness, David speaks to himself, preparing his soul to trust in God. Similarly, the prophet Elijah experienced sorrow when he fled to Horeb to escape Jezebel's wrath (1 Kings 19:1–8). Even Jesus experienced trouble in His soul as He approached the time of His crucifixion (John 12:27–28). Yet, David refused to let his inner struggle win. He told his soul to hope in God and to remain confident that his sorrow would turn to praise. Like David, we should strive to overcome the troubles of this world. Do you speak to your soul and encourage yourself to tru

Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. Psalm 33:22. King David emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's unfailing love and mercy. His prayer expresses a deep longing for God's grace and mercy to help in times of need. One of God's attributes is His mercy, and those who have faith in His promises invite His compassion. The psalmist shows how hope and prayer are intertwined with seeking God's mercy. It celebrates God's sovereignty and righteousness, reminding us to trust Him during difficult times. We should place our hope in Jesus, knowing that seeking God's promises through prayer and worship will lead to victory in our lives. "Blog Y2 034 - Worship God in Purity and Devotion"

Image
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:2. This verse is a powerful statement that speaks to the themes of worship, giving glory to God, and the beauty of holiness. King David describes the nature of worship and the attributes of God. The word "glory" refers to the honor, praise, and recognition that is due to God. As followers of God, we are called to recognize and acknowledge His glory and to give it to Him as an act of worship. This theme of giving glory to God is echoed throughout the Bible. The beauty of holiness suggests that worship is not just an outward expression but a reflection of an inward state of purity and devotion. It calls us to approach God with a heart that is set apart and dedicated to Him. Do you worship God with a heart that is set apart and devoted to Him in the beauty of holiness? Psalm 96:9 says: “Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.” கர்த்தருட

"Blog Y2 033 - Generosity Reflects True Compassion and Kindness."

Image
He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor. Proverbs 22:9. The person with "a generous eye" looks on the poor with compassion and responds with kindness. A sincere or good eye represents someone who is generous, imitating God's generosity toward others, while a bad eye symbolizes a self-centered person who takes instead of gives, neglecting the needs of others. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, a priest and a Levite saw a man who had been robbed, beaten, and left half dead, but they passed by on the other side of the road. These two men lacked "good eyes." The Good Samaritan, on the other hand, looked at the wounded man with compassion, went to him, and tended to his wounds. He did even more by transporting the victim to an inn and providing for all his care. This is the attitude of true compassion paired with action. Jesus calls us to be like Him, generously helping those in need. Do you have a generous eye, responding

"Blog Y2 032 - Wisdom and Strength Come from God"

A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. Proverbs 24:5. King Solomon recognized the power of wisdom and how a person of knowledge increases in strength. In Proverbs 2:6 , he says, "For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Our God is the ultimate source of wisdom. To become truly wise and strong, we must stay connected to God. When we spend time in His presence daily, meditating on His Word, we grow wiser and gain the knowledge needed to be strong in the Lord. A truly wise person does not rely on their own strength to overcome temptation or triumph over trials. Instead, they trust in the Lord for strength. Folly makes one weak and vulnerable, but walking in relationship with God equips us with wisdom and strength. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4. The apostle Paul encouraged the Philippians to live in unity, love, and humility, putting others first. He taught them not to be selfish or try to impress others, but to humbly consider others as more important. This means actively looking for ways to help and care for one another, fulfilling the law of Christ by bearing each other's burdens. While humans naturally prioritize their own needs, Jesus set the perfect example of selfless love. When we care for others' needs above our own, we become a blessing and can transform the world for Christ. Do you put the needs of others before your own, following Christ’s example of selfless love?
