"Blog Y2 038 - Joy Comes in the Morning after Sorrow"

Image
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5. This verse highlights two key contrasts: God's anger versus His favor and weeping versus joy. It emphasizes the difference between God’s momentary anger and His enduring favor. While God may discipline us, His anger is brief, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Similarly, weeping in the night represents a time of sorrow and hardship, but the morning represents joy. This joy isn’t just relief—it’s a "joyful shout," symbolizing deep praise after enduring struggles. The verse reminds us that pain and suffering are temporary. God's faithfulness ensures that even after the hardest nights, joy will come in the morning and remain with us throughout our lives if we follow Him faithfully and trust in Him. Are you trusting in God's faithfulness to bring joy after your struggles and hardships?   Isaiah 54:7 says: “For a mere moment I have forsaken

"Blog Y2 037 - Praise God for Strength and Protection"

To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy. Psalm 59:17. This is a powerful promise of strength and protection. In this verse, the act of singing reflects the psalmist's desire to honor and glorify God for His faithfulness and goodness. This psalm is a prayer for deliverance and protection, where King David cries out to God for help while being pursued by enemies seeking to destroy him. In the midst of his distress, David acknowledges God as his strength, stronghold, and fortress, expressing confidence in God’s ability to rescue him from his enemies. By this verse, God reminds us to sing and praise Him in all our situations. Will you sing and praise God, trusting in Him as your strength and protector in all situations? Psalm 28:7 says: “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.” என் பெலனே, உம்மைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுவேன்; தேவன் எனக்கு

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:5. King David often speaks to his soul, encouraging himself to have hope in God and to glorify Him. In this verse, his praise quickly turns to sorrow and then to hope. He knew from past experiences that God would always be available when he needed Him. Aware of God's faithfulness, David speaks to himself, preparing his soul to trust in God. Similarly, the prophet Elijah experienced sorrow when he fled to Horeb to escape Jezebel's wrath (1 Kings 19:1–8). Even Jesus experienced trouble in His soul as He approached the time of His crucifixion (John 12:27–28). Yet, David refused to let his inner struggle win. He told his soul to hope in God and to remain confident that his sorrow would turn to praise. Like David, we should strive to overcome the troubles of this world. Do you speak to your soul and encourage yourself to tru

Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. Psalm 33:22. King David emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's unfailing love and mercy. His prayer expresses a deep longing for God's grace and mercy to help in times of need. One of God's attributes is His mercy, and those who have faith in His promises invite His compassion. The psalmist shows how hope and prayer are intertwined with seeking God's mercy. It celebrates God's sovereignty and righteousness, reminding us to trust Him during difficult times. We should place our hope in Jesus, knowing that seeking God's promises through prayer and worship will lead to victory in our lives. Do you place your hope in Jesus and trust in God's unfailing love and mercy during difficult times? "Blog Y2 034 - Worship God in Purity and Devotion"

Image
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:2. This verse is a powerful statement that speaks to the themes of worship, giving glory to God, and the beauty of holiness. King David describes the nature of worship and the attributes of God. The word "glory" refers to the honor, praise, and recognition that is due to God. As followers of God, we are called to recognize and acknowledge His glory and to give it to Him as an act of worship. This theme of giving glory to God is echoed throughout the Bible. The beauty of holiness suggests that worship is not just an outward expression but a reflection of an inward state of purity and devotion. It calls us to approach God with a heart that is set apart and dedicated to Him. Do you worship God with a heart that is set apart and devoted to Him in the beauty of holiness? Psalm 96:9 says: “Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.” கர்த்தருட

"Blog Y2 033 - Generosity Reflects True Compassion and Kindness."

Image
He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor. Proverbs 22:9. The person with "a generous eye" looks on the poor with compassion and responds with kindness. A sincere or good eye represents someone who is generous, imitating God's generosity toward others, while a bad eye symbolizes a self-centered person who takes instead of gives, neglecting the needs of others. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, a priest and a Levite saw a man who had been robbed, beaten, and left half dead, but they passed by on the other side of the road. These two men lacked "good eyes." The Good Samaritan, on the other hand, looked at the wounded man with compassion, went to him, and tended to his wounds. He did even more by transporting the victim to an inn and providing for all his care. This is the attitude of true compassion paired with action. Jesus calls us to be like Him, generously helping those in need. Do you have a generous eye, responding

"Blog Y2 032 - Wisdom and Strength Come from God"

Image
A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. Proverbs 24:5. King Solomon recognized the power of wisdom and how a person of knowledge increases in strength. In Proverbs 2:6 , he says, "For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Our God is the ultimate source of wisdom. To become truly wise and strong, we must stay connected to God. When we spend time in His presence daily, meditating on His Word, we grow wiser and gain the knowledge needed to be strong in the Lord. A truly wise person does not rely on their own strength to overcome temptation or triumph over trials. Instead, they trust in the Lord for strength. Folly makes one weak and vulnerable, but walking in relationship with God equips us with wisdom and strength. Do you rely on God's wisdom and strength, or do you trust your abilities to face challenges? Ecclesiastes 7:19 says: "Wisdom strengthens the wise More than ten rulers of the city." ஞானமுள்

"Blog Y2 031 - Live in Unity and Selfless Love"

Image
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4. The apostle Paul encouraged the Philippians to live in unity, love, and humility, putting others first. He taught them not to be selfish or try to impress others, but to humbly consider others as more important. This means actively looking for ways to help and care for one another, fulfilling the law of Christ by bearing each other's burdens. While humans naturally prioritize their own needs, Jesus set the perfect example of selfless love. When we care for others' needs above our own, we become a blessing and can transform the world for Christ. Do you put the needs of others before your own, following Christ’s example of selfless love? Romans 12:10 say: "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another." அவனவன் தனக்கானவைகளையல்ல, பிறருக்கானவைகளையும் நோக்குவானாக. பிலிப்பியர் 2:4. ஒற்றுமையோடும் அன்போடும் மனத

"Blog Y2 030 - Trusting God as our Shield"

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. Psalm 121:7. This verse is a promise from God to protect us and our soul from all kinds of evil—such as danger, disease, violence, and natural disasters. It encourages us to trust in God's power to shield us from harm and care for our soul. The soul represents the core of a person's being, embodying their spiritual identity, emotions, will, and eternal connection with God. God’s promise to preserve our soul shows His ongoing commitment to our spiritual well-being. This verse reflects the psalmist's deep trust in God's ability to protect His people, both physically and spiritually.  It also reassures us of His constant care as our Rock, Refuge, Shield, and Fortress. Do you trust in God's promise to protect your soul and shield you from harm? "Blog Y2 029 - Trust God's Timing and Power"

Image
I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. Job 42:2. This is a promise of God for us today. Job declared this timeless truth when he said that God can do everything. Our God is Almighty! He is our Sovereign God, in control of everything. God is always with us, and He is aware of everything that happens to us. While God does not cause difficulties, He does allow them. No purpose of God can be withheld from Him, and no one can stop the blessings He has stored for His children. However, when we go through life's problems, we often forget what God has already done for us. When things are delayed or not happening on time, we may lose faith in God. Yet our faithful God does everything beautifully in His time when we put our trust in Him and wait for His timing. We must believe that our God is all-powerful and that He will do great things. Do you believe that nothing is impossible for our God?  Matthew 19:26 says: “With men this is impossibl

"Blog Y2 028 - Children of God Through His Mercy"

Image
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26. It is the mercy of God that has marked us as children of God through faith in Christ. Romans 8:14 says, "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." Through faith in Christ, we receive forgiveness for our sins and full adoption, becoming sons and daughters of God. See what kind of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God, and so we are. Our privileged position in Christ is based solely on God's grace, not our worth or merit. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us, giving all who believe in Him the right to become sons of God. Do you recognize the mercy of God that allows you to be called a child of God through faith in Christ? John 1:12 says: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." நீங்களெல்லாரும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினால் தேவனுடைய புத

"Blog Y2 027 - Victory Comes from God Alone"

Image
For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. Psalm 44:6,7. In these verses, the psalmist reminds us where our true strength lies. It's easy to rely on our own abilities, resources, or strategies when facing challenges. The 'bow' and 'sword' represent human efforts—things we often turn to for security or success. However, the psalmist declares that victory doesn’t come from these but from God alone. This passage challenges us to shift our trust from ourselves to God. When we face battles, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, it’s not our strength that secures the victory but God’s power working on our behalf. Just as He delivered His people from Egypt, God is faithful in fighting for us and bringing us out through our life’s struggles. Not only that, but our God is also capable of putting our enemies and those who hate us to shame. When we realize our bow and sword

"Blog Y2 026 - Long for God's Living Water"

Image
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. Psalm 42:1. This verse beautifully expresses the deep longing of a soul that thirsts for God. Just as a deer urgently seeks water to quench its thirst and sustain its life, our soul, too, craves the presence of God to be spiritually nourished and refreshed. The psalmist compares his desperation for God to the natural, life-sustaining thirst of a deer. He reminds us that only God can satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. When we experience spiritual dryness and hardships or feel distant from God, we are reminded to come to Him, the source of living water. Nothing else in this world can truly fulfill us or give us lasting peace. As we draw near to God, He fills us with His love, grace, and presence.  Do you thirst for God and seek His living water to satisfy your soul?  Matthew 5:6 says: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled." மானானது நீரோடைகளை வாஞ்சித்து

"Blog Y2 025 - Embrace God's wisdom for eternal life."

Image
He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good. Proverbs 19:8. This scripture talks about how to love ourselves. We love our own soul by protecting and guarding it from self-oppression. We need to save our souls from eternal death, and only then we can help others. How will we save others if we don’t have the wisdom to save ourselves? We must embrace godly wisdom and understanding. Divine wisdom is God's perfect, eternal knowledge and understanding, guiding us in truth and righteousness and aligning our lives with His will. As we do this, we are actively loving our own soul! How do we save our soul? Remember that Jesus said if we try to save our earthly lives, we will lose them. But if we lose our lives for Jesus' sake and the gospel’s sake, we will save them. Jesus embraces a view of life that focuses on our eternal life and that of those around us. Anyone who lives this way will find life good, as this life aligns with God’s wisdom. Will you

"Blog Y2 024 - Unity Through Humility and Love"

Image
With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2,3. Apostle Paul urges the Ephesians to protect the unity of the Spirit, a unity created by the Holy Spirit rather than human effort. We maintain this unity through humility, meekness, patience, forbearance, and love—traits that define our relationships with others. Humility opposes pride, meekness embodies strength with gentleness, longsuffering endures hardship, and forbearance holds back from retaliation. Love seeks the good of others. Though spiritual unity is internal and unseen, it manifests outwardly in our character. Do you strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit in your relationships with others? 1 Peter 3:8 says: "Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;" மிகுந்த மனத்தாழ்மையும் சாந்தமும் நீடிய பொறுமையும் உடையவர்களாய்,

I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love, and I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them. Hosea 11:4. Just as a father loves his son, so God loved Israel and delivered His people from slavery in Egypt. Though they turned to idols, God’s love remained, and He cared for them. He demonstrated His love by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us. Through His teachings, suffering, and death, He redeems and transforms us, binding us to Himself. In return, we are called to love Him for all He has done and continues to do. He desires a close relationship with us daily. Will you love God and seek a closer relationship with Him for all He has done for you? "Blog Y2 022 - Honor God's Greatness and Holiness"

Image
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Psalm 48:1. This verse speaks about how great God is and how deserving He is of praise. The first part talks about God’s greatness, highlighting His power and how awe-inspiring He is. Throughout the Bible, God is described as great in His power, love, and mercy. The second part of the verse mentions the city of God and the mountain of His holiness, symbolizing God’s presence and His holy nature. It represents a place where God is honored, and His holiness is recognized. This verse reminds us to acknowledge God’s greatness in our lives and give Him the praise He deserves. "Blog Y2 021 - Sow Righteousness for a Fruitful Harvest."

Image
Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. Hosea 10:12. The prophet Hosea instructs the people to sow righteousness and break up unplowed ground in order to reap the fruit of God's unconditional love. The Apostle Paul reminds us that "we reap what we sow," whether it be for evil or for good. He calls us to open our hearts fully to God, like a farmer preparing soil for planting. Just as unplowed ground must be broken for seeds to grow, our hearts need to be cleared of sin through repentance. The time to act is now—sow good seeds of righteousness today to reap in mercy. Don’t delay, as the best harvest comes from the best preparation. Are you willing to break up the unplowed ground of your heart and sow seeds of righteousness to reap God’s mercy?  James 3:18 says: "Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." நீங்கள் நீதி

"Blog Y2 020 - True Repentance Comes from the Heart"

Image
So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Joel 2:13. This verse emphasizes that we should repent before the Lord with our hearts, not just through outward actions like tearing clothes as in the Old Testament days. He reminds us that God is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in kindness. God is near to the brokenhearted and those with a contrite spirit. Too often, people speak of repentance but fail to take any real action. God warns against those who appear perfect outwardly but lack inner transformation. When we come to Him with a truly broken heart, God delights in renewing, changing, restoring, redeeming, saving, and transforming us. He is pleased when we turn from our sins with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Are you seeking God with a heart willing to change? Psalm 34:18 says: "The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And

Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God, and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. Joel 2:27. In this verse, the prophet Joel speaks on behalf of God. Prophet Joel assures the people that once they repent, they will know that He is in the midst of Israel and that He will never put them to shame. The phrase "I am the Lord your God, and there is no other" emphasizes the greatness of Yahweh as the one true God and highlights the covenant relationship between God and His people. The last part of the verse promises that God's people shall never be put to shame. This is a powerful declaration of God's faithfulness and His unconditional love towards His people. In the midst of all difficult situations, God assures them that they will not be left in shame. This is the great promise of restoration, showing God's mercy and grace. It reflects His desire to bless and uplift His people when they turn to Him in repentance

"Blog Y2 018 - God’s Voice Brings Comfort and Peace."

Image
The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psalm 29:4. King David describes the voice of the Lord as powerful and full of majesty. This verse shows that God is King, with the power to command all His creations. God's voice is full of majesty, splendor, honor, and glory, and it is beautiful to those who love Him. His voice straightens all the crooked places. Satan trembles at the sound of His voice. We need to hear His voice and listen to Him in the midst of all the noise, such as the chaos and violence in the world.  His voice gives us comfort and peace in difficult times. Just a word from Him grants us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The truth is that His people can hear such a powerful and majestic voice, as Jesus said in John 10:27: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

"Blog Y2 017 - Shine Your Light for Christ"

Image
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14.  The world is lost in darkness, sin, and evil, but Jesus Christ came as the true light, giving hope to everyone. Anyone who believes in Him through faith is rescued from darkness and brought into God's eternal light. When we accept this light, we receive salvation and become the light of the world, shining before others. Like a city on a hill, visible to everyone, let our light shine so others may see the light of Jesus in us—through our actions, words, and how we treat others. In everything we do, let our good deeds stand out in a world full of darkness so that others may see them and give glory to God in heaven. Are you letting your light shine in a way that others can see the light of Jesus through your actions and words?   1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who call

"Blog Y2 016 - Wise Counsel Leads to Success"

Image
Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war. Proverbs 20:18. Today's verse says that plans are established by seeking advice. Good advice is essential for sound decision-making, and it should come from wise counselors. Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers, we will succeed. The Bible mentions kings who, by listening to wise people like Joseph and Daniel, were able to save their nations. God has given us the ability to learn and grow from one another. We gain wisdom by listening to others.  Seeking advice requires humility—it means admitting that we do not know everything and that others may have valuable insights. When seeking advice, it is important to seek godly counsel  that aligns with God's Word and His will. This will help us make wise decisions. Are you seeking godly counsel and wise advice before making important decisions? Proverbs 24:6 says: "For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is s

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31. This verse is a powerful reminder of the balance between our efforts and God's sovereignty. The image of the horse being prepared for battle signifies the importance of readiness, hard work, and preparation in our lives, especially in times of conflict and struggle. The horse, a powerful and essential tool in ancient warfare, had to be ready for success. However, the second part of the verse shifts our focus from human effort to divine intervention. Despite our best efforts and preparations, our safety and security ultimately come from God. In times of battle and adversity, we are called to rely on the Lord for deliverance and protection. We must trust in God's power and strength in every area of our lives. Are you trusting in God's power and strength for deliverance, even as you prepare and work hard in times of struggle? Psalm 20:7 says: "Some trust in chariots, and some in

"Blog Y2 014 - God Answers Our Prayers Before We Ask"

Image
That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24. The answer to our prayers is prepared before we pray. He is more ready to hear than we are to pray! While we are praying to Him, He hears, answers, and grants our requests, and more, just as He did for Daniel. Gabriel, an angel from God, brought God’s answer to Daniel. At the moment Daniel began praying, God sent this messenger to speak to him (Daniel 9:20-23). This shows the Lord’s readiness to help and assist us in times of trouble or fear and is a great encouragement to approach the throne of grace constantly. He has made large and firm promises of answer when we pray. Yet, sometimes, His answer is a refusal; other times, it is a delay, and at other times, it is the gift of something we did not even ask for. Are you confident that God hears and answers your prayers, even before you pray, just as He did for Daniel?  Psalm 91:15 says: "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, And the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, For My people who have sought Me. Isaiah 65:10. Today's verse speaks about God's blessings in store for His chosen people who are saved through Jesus Christ. Let us explore what God says about the two places mentioned in this verse: Sharon and the Valley of Achor. Sharon refers to the plain south of Mount Carmel, situated between the central mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a fertile agricultural area. The Valley of Achor, located northwest of Jericho on the northern border of the tribe of Judah, is where the Israelites executed Achan and his household. 'Achor' means 'trouble' or 'affliction,' signifying severe trouble. The troubles of the past are reversed and replaced with blessings when we seek Him faithfully, and He even reverses the curses, as Jesus took all our curses upon Himself. Just as Sharon represents a place of fruitfulness and Achor, a

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1. This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? We need to search our hearts to see whether we fear God and give Him reverence before entering His presence.  Romans 12:1 says: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present yo

Blog # Y2 011 - "Calling on God with Confidence"

Image
As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:16-17. Here, King David speaks of calling upon God's name for salvation. He mentions crying out to the Lord three times a day with a loud voice. Why would David pray this way? It’s because he understands that only God can save him from all his fears, trials, and problems. Similarly, we can call upon the Lord when we are discouraged, afraid, or worried. Jesus bore all our burdens and sins on the cross and saved us. We should also have confidence in the Lord like David, constantly reaching out to Him in prayer and with thanksgiving. He hears our voice and delivers us when we pray continually. When you are afraid, do you cry out to the Lord with confidence in prayer?   Jeremiah 33:3 says: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்
