Ask, and you will receive,   that your joy may be   full. John 16:24 Today's verse highlights the idea that when we pray in Jesus' name, we can expect to receive what we ask for. This suggests that we don't necessarily require intermediaries or prayer mediators because we have a direct connection with God through Jesus. When we approach God directly, it not only strengthens our relationship with Him but also builds trust. When our prayers are answered, it brings immense joy. So, let's follow Jesus' words and ask for anything in His name, believing that He will fulfill our requests: "If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it."

It is  better to trust in the  Lord,  than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8 We make our own schedules, plans, and decisions according to our own interests and desires, often forgetting the will of God. We tend to place more trust in people and worldly things than in God. This is a natural inclination. Today's verse reminds us that it is better to trust in the LORD than to place our trust in humanity. Man may fail, but God never fails. In the Bible, in the book of Job, even after losing everything, Job's trust in God remained strong as he said, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Let's pray along with David saying, "Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You."

He does great things past finding out,  Yes, wonders without number. Job 9:10 In today's verse, we cannot fully understand the great things He does, and His miracles are endless. Wonders reveal God’s ability to accomplish things beyond human power and expectations. Every newborn baby is a miracle from God—a unique new person who has never lived or will never live again. Not only that, He also performs countless miracles beyond our comprehension. The mere functioning of the universe is a miracle of God, and the human body operating together is certainly a miracle of God. If we were to count them all, they are numerous. What a wonder-working God we serve! Let us declare with David, "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad."

If  you extend your soul to the hungry  and satisfy the afflicted soul,  then your light shall dawn in the darkness,  and your darkness shall  be  as the noonday. Isaiah 58:10 Today's verse says that if we give ourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then our dark night of sorrow and distress becomes a clear day of peace and comfort. In this context, God expects us to help the poor and those who are in poverty, trouble, sickness, and bondage. We can help them by giving, praying, and encouraging them through the love of Christ. If we do so, our God will reward us in this world and in eternity. Let us trust what David's says and extend our hands to those who are in need for better days ahead, "Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in times of trouble."

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable  are  His judgments and His ways past finding out! Romans 11:33. Today's verse deals with five aspects of His characteristics: His deep riches, wisdom, knowledge, unsearchable judgments, and His higher ways. We can witness His wisdom and knowledge in the way He has crafted us and our world. We can also witness His decisions and ways concerning our lives as we have traveled thus far in this life. Our God is all-powerful and performs great and unsearchable things in our lives. When we think about ourselves, our knowledge, wisdom, thinking, and planning are limited. When we place our trust in God, we submit ourselves to His immense riches, wisdom, and knowledge, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in every decision we make. Together with David, let us praise God, saying, "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; His greatness is unsearchable." ஆ!

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;  it is  the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8. Today's word says that salvation is a gift of God and not something we can achieve on our own. We have been saved through faith by grace. No action of ours is good enough to earn our salvation. Jesus Christ willingly sacrificed Himself on the Cross to save us from our sins. Jesus is the gift, freely given to anyone who believes in Him. Those who believe Him will get  peace and joy in their hearts that no one else can provide. Let us echo the words of David saying, "Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit."

The blessing of the  Lord  makes  one  rich,  And He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 In this verse, King Solomon differentiates the blessing of the Lord from that are not of the Lord. He experienced so many blessings in his life and here he says that when the blessing of God brings wealth, God doesn't add any sorrow to it. That means it really matters how the blessing is obtained.  If it is obtained according to the Word of God, the blessing stays, if not, eventually it brings sorrow.   We must seek Him to make sure that we receive the blessings from the right source and through the right method that are aligned with God's will.   Jesus instructed us to seek Him, saying, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17 This is a powerful promise stating that no weapon formed against us will succeed. However, it is crucial to understand how we use the Word of God to gain control over the enemies attacks. We should know our identity in Christ. We are the children of God, chosen, forgiven, redeemed, and protected by God. The enemy always tries to attack us mentally, physically, and spiritually, but we should be stronger by confessing the Word of God to achieve victory. We should believe that when God is on our side, no one can stand against us. Let us confess with David saying, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you."

The  Lord   is  near to all who call upon Him,  To all who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:18   Today's verse emphasizes that God draws nearer to us when we call upon Him in truth. He answers our call when we pour out our hearts to Him and cry out to Him with all our sincerity. As David tells us, God is near to the brokenhearted. James, a disciple of Jesus, also instructs us to draw near to God, assuring us that He will draw near to us in return. We place our trust in Jesus, who desires us to walk closer to Him. He cherishes a deeper and more intimate relationship with us like a true friend. Moreover, God expects us to cry out to Him in times of trouble, as He promises to deliver us from all our distress. Let us do what God asks us to do, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 We are living in a world filled with fear about tomorrow. However, today's verse says that the Spirit, which God has given us does not cause us to fear; instead, it provides us with power, love, and a sound mind. This verse is guiding us on how we should rely on the power of God and not focus on fear. If we dwell in fear, it will enter into our lives and destroy us; it is a weapon of the enemy. However, the word of God strengthens us daily with the phrase "Don't be afraid" appearing 365 times. God's desire is to free us from fear and fill us with His love. We should heed the words of John, Jesus' disciple, who said, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear."

Oh, taste and see that the  Lord   is  good;  Blessed  is  the man  who  trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 In this verse David shares his personal experience of how he tasted and saw the goodness of God in his life. He also says how he is blessed when he puts his trusts in the Lord. The phrase taste and see, simply means "try and experience." As David tasted the love of God, we all should try and experience it personally to know how good He is. Additionally, we can focus on God's goodness by focusing on His word. When we trust Him and walk in His word, we will receive His blessings in all the areas of our lives. Let us repeat the words of David, "For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness."

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 Today's verse says that when hope is delayed in the lives of people who are expecting, it can make them unhappy. However, when their wishes come true, they will be overjoyed, as if life has been restored to the dead. The Bible also shares the real story of Sarah, who, in her old age, conceived and bore a son to Abraham just as God had promised. Similarly, in our own lives, we must pray and wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled. At times, this waiting will make our hearts ache, but we should take inspiration from David's words "Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord."

And you shall know the   truth, and   the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 This is a wonderful promise about truth and freedom. Jesus characterized Himself as the truth when He was speaking to His disciples. Today's verse highlights that we should deepen our understanding of Jesus in order to find deliverance from various troubles, such as worries, burdens, heaviness, bondage, broken relationships, financial hardships, sickness, hurts, wounds, and more. Jesus accomplished everything for us on the cross. When we come to know the truth in the Word of God and fix our eyes on Him to follow His footsteps, He will set us free to walk in freedom. Let us embrace what Paul says, "Stand firm, therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not become entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

Thanks  be  to God for His indescribable gift! 2Corinthians 9:15 Today's verse says how we need to thank God for His indescribable gift which is Christ Jesus. So in order to fully describe this gift, it is important to understand who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Jesus Christ willingly sacrificed Himself to atone for our sins, offering us the gift of eternal salvation. In response to His grace, we should offer praises and thanksgiving to Jesus as David encourages us to do,  "Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation."

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My   words will by no means pass away. Luke 21:33 The world we live in is filled with problems and chaos. Everything in the world has its limitations. There is no lasting peace in the world. However, today's verse reminds us that even heaven and earth may fade away, but His words will endure forever. The Bible says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." This means that regardless of the weariness and frustration caused by the events around us, His word remains constant. So HIs Word is worth holding onto in times of difficulties.  Let us echo the words of Peter, a disciple of Jesus, who said, " But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you."

Commit   your works to the  Lord ,  And your thoughts will be established. Proverbs 16:3 Every day, we pray to God and begin our lives. However, many times, we rely on ourselves for various things. Today's verse tells us to commit our ways and our works to the Lord. He will bless our efforts according to His perfect will in ways beyond our understanding. This means giving all our problems, worries, doubts, failures, needs, plans, and questions to God in prayer every moment. We should also seek Him through the word of God to find solutions for everything and place our trust in Him alone. Let us repeat with David, "Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass."

For the  Lord   is  good;  His mercy  is  everlasting,  And His truth  endures  to all generations. Psalm 100:5  Here, David is thanking and praising God for three reasons. First, he speaks of the goodness of God; secondly, he mentions God's everlasting mercy, and thirdly, he emphasizes that God's truth extends to all generations. David expresses God's goodness with the words, "The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." The Bible story of the prodigal son serves as a powerful representation of God's love, mercy, and faithfulness towards us as His children. God loved us unconditionally even when we were sinners, and He gave His life for us. Jesus is the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever. Let us join the Psalmist in praising Him, saying, "For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!"

I will make you a great nation;  I will bless you  And make your name great;  And you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2 Today's verse is a beautiful promise that the Lord gave to Abraham when he obeyed God and followed Him faithfully. The word of God says, "the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." God called Abraham when he was a Gentile to lead a pilgrim's life in the new way that leads to the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessing of God is to make us a great nation, make our name great, and bless us for every generation. God's desire to bless us is always greater than the finite acts of obedience He asks from us. Let us obey to receive God's promise, saying, "The blessing will come if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today."

“I am the vine, you  are  the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much   fruit; for without Me you can do   nothing" John 15:5 In today's verse, Jesus said that those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. He also said that He is the vine, and we are the branches.  He was explaining how important it is for us to stay connected to Him. Just as the vine provides nutrition that helps fruit grow on a plant, Jesus gives us all that we need to grow in our faith to bear fruits like "love, joy, peace, kindness, humility, goodness, self control, and gentleness." The relationship with Jesus is like "I abide in Him, and He abides in Me." When we abide in Jesus, we immerse ourselves in His word, and in turn, He abides in us. Let us heed John's advice: "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked."

Do not withhold good from  those to whom it is due,  When it is in the power of your hand to do so. Proverbs 3:27. In this world it is often hard to see people doing good to  others.  Most of them tend to be selfish, prioritizing themselves, their families, and their loved ones. However, we can build good relationships by doing good to others without expectations. Today's verse reminds us not to withhold goodness from those who deserve it when it is within our power to help. John Wesley once quoted, 'Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.'  Paul also advised, "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith."

For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Acts 2:25 Today we may be facing challenges, frustrations, fear and loneliness. But God is encouraging us with this powerful word  that we will not be shaken when God is at the right hand of us. Also the word of God says that God has a mighty arm, His hand is strong, and His right hand is exalted. When this powerful God is at our right hand, He will shield us, strengthen us and  protect us. So to stay stronger, we should focus on God not on our problems. Let us echo with David, "The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand."

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep" John 10:11. In today's verse, Jesus shows Himself as the good shepherd who gave His life on the cross to save us. In Psalm 23, David beautifully describes God as a caring shepherd, praising His love, care, comfort, provision, and protection. David also celebrates how God guides, leads, and restores us when we trust Him. God, like a good shepherd, watches over us, keeping us safe from harm, and even risking His life for us. Jesus, our shepherd, desires an intimate relationship with us, saying, "My sheep hear Me, I know them, and they follow Me."

" Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and  mighty things, which you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 This verse is a great promise for the children of God through prophet Jeremiah. According to this scripture, when we call God in any situation 24/7, He answers us and shows us great and mighty things which we don't know. God is waiting for our call so that He can heal, deliver, restore, and honor us. Don't you see mother's heart in our God? The very nature of "waiting for our call" shows how much He loves us and cares for us.  He wants us to call Him in order to have a closer relationship with Him. Let us sing with David, "As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me."

I am   the way,   the truth, and   the life.   No one comes to the Father   except through Me. John 14:6 In today's verse, we see Jesus making it very certain that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. To those who are trying various rituals and methods to go to heaven, Jesus is saying, "I am the Way." To those who access various intellectual sources such as books, the internet, etc., in order to find truth, Jesus is saying, "I am the Truth." In the middle of dryness and deadness, when we are really desperate for something fresh and living, Jesus is saying, "I am the Life."   Now, for us to find the Way to reach eternal Life, we must know the Truth. Only Truth can set us free, as Jesus said, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

When a man’s ways please the  Lord ,  He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 Today having peace with everyone is a very difficult thing. Everywhere we see misunderstandings and broken relationships. When we try to make peace with our own strength, we fail. But today's verse says that if our ways please the Lord, He makes even our enemies to be at peace with us. To please God, the Bible says that we should love the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind and also we should love our neighbor as ourselves. Let's allow the peace of God to guard our minds and hearts as Paul says, "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

“Do not be afraid, Abram. I  am  your shield,  your exceedingly great reward.” Genesis 15:1 In today's verse, God promised Abram in a vision that He is a shield and a great reward for him. God is speaking to us today about how He protects us as a shield from all dangers and destructions. The Bible says that God's Word is truth, HIs Word is a shield that protects us.  When we trust in Him, we don't have to be afraid of anyone and worry about our future. Furthermore, our God is our great reward, as He has given His life for us to receive the greatest reward of eternal life. Let us declare with David, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped."

Let   not your heart be troubled; you believe in God. John 14:1 These words were spoken by Jesus to His disciples before His death when their hearts were troubled with fear about what was going to happen. Jesus told His disciples, and He tells us today, not to allow our hearts to be troubled but to believe in Him. Many times, we have fear about our future, which can make us weak. However, having faith in Jesus can calm down our fearful hearts and fill them with joy and peace. If we focus our minds on Jesus and our eternal life, then our hearts will rejoice, and no one can take our joy from us. Let us repeat the words of David: "For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name."
