"Seek a Heart That Forgives"

Image
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14. Forgiving others is one of the tough things for us to do.  Many times we want to forgive others, but our ego and what others  have done against us won't allow us to forgive.  Forgiving is the nature of God, unless we inherit this nature from God, we cannot forgive others.  God wants us to forgive and forget what harm others have done to us in order to live a peaceful life.  Not only that unforgiving is also a sin that needs forgiveness from God.  So this scripture says, if we don't forgive others, we cannot expect God to forgive us either.  That's why Paul is repeatedly warning the New Testament church to be kind to one another and forgiving one another.  So let us seek God for a heart that forgives others. Ephesians 4:32 says, “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” மனுஷருடைய தப்பிதங்களை நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னித

"Blessings Abound Through Obedience and Tithing"

Image
The Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do. Deuteronomy 14:29. This is a wonderful promise about the blessings of God in all the works of our hands. Let us see how we receive these blessings in our lives by giving tithe to God. Deuteronomy 14:22-29 talks about the blessings that follow us by tithing from all the increase of the grain that the field produces year by year. The definition of tithe comes from a Hebrew root and means "a tenth." Tithing refers to giving 10 percent of our household income, including wages we earn from our employment, produce, livestock, possessions, etc. King Solomon says in Proverbs 3 that when we honor the Lord with our possessions and the first fruits of all our increase, our barns will be filled with plenty, and our vats will overflow with new wine. This means that when we honor the Lord with our blessings, He will bless us abundantly. In Deuteronomy 28:1-14 , all the blessings are promised if we diligently obey H

"Disciplined life yields righteous fruit"

Image
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11. Today's verse says that a disciplined life yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. For the moment, all discipline seems unpleasant and painful. Most of the time discipline requires us to bring in the right changes. If we allow ourselves to be disciplined, we will receive blessings in this life. A biblical view of discipline can be quite healthy and powerful in our lives. When we choose to become stronger by inviting the sacrifice of a disciplined life in different areas of our lives, we will experience the benefits - the blessings - from God. It is our choice whether or not to develop a disciplined mind and lifestyle. Are we ready to submit to God's discipline and allow Him to correct us to receive the eternal reward? 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, "For our light affliction, which is

"Grateful for God's marvelous works"

Image
For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. Psalm 92:4. King David expresses his happiness and gratitude for everything the Lord has done. He said that the Lord has done many wonderful things and has planned marvelous things for us. There is none to compare with Him. If he were to declare and speak of God's wonders, they would be too many to count. He praises and thanks God for His provisions and blessings, acknowledging that everything God does is good and brings happiness. This attitude of gratitude and faith is central to his message. The verse reflects a deep trust in God's ability to provide joy and triumph in the lives of those who follow Him. David's words encourage others to seek the Lord and find gladness in His works. How is our attitude towards God’s handiwork today? Are we grateful to God? Psalm 139:14 says, "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my

"Seek God's help, not man's"

Image
Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:8. This verse connects back to the opening verses of Psalm 121, where we read: "I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1-2). Our God is the great source of everything. King David says in Psalm 24:1, "The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein." If we know Him for who He is, we can seek help from Him anytime. To receive anything from Him, we must call upon His name, trust in Him, and have faith in Him. Many times, we trust people and seek help from them. King David, in his lifetime, managed one of his greatest challenges by defeating Goliath. He neither depended on his own strength nor on King Saul's armor. David knew that his help could only come from the Maker of Heaven and Earth. Are we seeking God or man for help? Let us seek His face alone. Psalm 46

"Waiting on God with patience"

Image
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14. Today's scripture teaches us how to wait on the Lord. It is not easy to wait in our daily situations. We often become discouraged when things don't happen as quickly as we hope. In the early days of our faith, our prayers might have been answered immediately, but as we grow in the Lord, we may find that this is no longer the case. This is when God is teaching us to rely on Him in faith, waiting, trusting, and hoping with joyful hearts. If we understand how God is leading us, teaching us, and testing our faith, we will grow spiritually and witness miracles in God's own way. We need patience during this time as we walk through challenges. He teaches us and strengthens us on how to wait upon Him. If you are still waiting, don't be discouraged. Our Lord makes all things beautiful in His time! The time is near. Wait patiently. Psalm 25:5 says, "Lead me in Yo

"Planted in God's House Flourish"

Image
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. Psalm 92:13. Today's scripture talks about being planted in the house of the Lord. The house of the Lord refers to the place where God dwells. Those who are planted there are permanently connected with God; they are where God is. Being planted also implies being deeply rooted. God's presence is in His dwelling place, and His words are heard day and night as He speaks through His Word. The reason for their flourishing is the essence of being planted in the house of God. The strength they receive from God, the joy of Spirit-filled worship, and the nourishment they gain through His Word make them flourish. The supernatural riches and the abundance of resources enable the residents of the house of the Lord to be productive. They are equipped and motivated to do the work of God by making Christ known to many. They bear fruit by adding souls to the kingdom of God. Even in their old age, they still

"Pursue, Peace and Holiness Always"

Image
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14. This scripture says that without peace and holiness, we cannot see God. These two qualities define our spiritual state and standing. As God's children, we are at peace with Him because He forgave our sins through grace and faith. We should make every effort to maintain the inner peace of God, which surpasses human understanding, by keeping our minds focused on Him. As far as possible, we must also maintain peace with others. We are called to be holy and set apart for Him as holy people. This can be achieved only by His grace and by living a life of holiness. Are we seeking peace and holiness in order to see God? We need the help of the Holy Spirit to see God and allow it to work within us through meditating on His Word. Matthew 5:8 says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." யாவரோடும் சமாதானமாயிருக்கவும், பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கவும் நாடுங்கள்; பரிசுத்த

"Confess Sins and Receive Mercy"

Image
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. This verse is a comforting promise of forgiveness and cleansing for all of us who have struggled with guilt in this corrupted world. If we confess our sins—confession is such an important part of our relationship with God. Confession means agreeing with God on His assessment of our actions and thoughts, and naming our sin to God. God keeps His promises, and He will restore fellowship with us when we confess our sin to Him. We can't keep sinning because we are not under the law but under grace. Despite our efforts to avoid sin, if we fail at times, we must confess our sins, seek God's forgiveness, and get cleansed daily. Let us examine ourselves today and consider our relationship with God. As the verse says, He is faithful to Himself to forgive our sins, and He is just, having already made full atonement for our sins through the sacrifice of His beloved

"Abide in Light, Live in Love"

Image
He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 1 John 2:10. This verse teaches us that living in love means abiding in the light. The Gospel light not only enlightens our minds but also warms our hearts with love. The Word of God tells us that if we do not love those around us, we are not truly abiding in the light. Loving one another demonstrates a deep connection to Christ. Without the love of Christ in us, we cannot love others as He loves us.  Jesus instructed us to love even those who hate and reject us. A true follower of Christ who loves their brother or sister abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in them. 'No cause for stumbling' means not causing others to sin or lose their faith. Do we have the love of Christ within us? This love is unconditional—it forgives and accepts even those who hate us. 1 John 4:1 2 says, "No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love

"Blessed are those who endure trials."

Image
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12. In today's scripture, Apostle James includes a beatitude, just as Jesus offered in Matthew 5:1-11: 'Blessed is the man who endures temptation.' He gives hope and encourages perseverance through trials, mentioning that our faith grows stronger when tested by challenges. However, the difficulties we face daily can trip us up and tempt us into doubt and hopelessness. One thing we need to remember is that at the end of all trials, we will receive the reward—the crown of life—which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. The crown of life represents the reward of eternal life and the fulfillment of God's promises to those who faithfully endure trials and remain committed to their faith. 'Are you losing hope when you face trials?' Let us go to Jesus, our living hope, who gives us the power to ov

"God's goodness to those who wait on Him."

Image
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. Lamentations 3:25. This verse proclaims one of the attributes of the Lord. We can see His goodness when we wait on Him and seek Him. The prophet Jeremiah expresses his experience when he and the people of Israel went through pain and sorrow in the land where they were exiled. He shared the nature of God and how He was good to them in that difficult situation. God is good to everyone who waits for Him and seeks Him. Waiting on the Lord means trusting that God is in control and will act on our behalf. Sometimes we wait on the Lord for a long time to get an answer for our needs. But if we have faith in God and seek Him with all our soul, we can see the mighty hand of God doing great things for us. Are you waiting for a long time? Our good God will answer you soon. Psalm 130:5 says, “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.” தமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் தம்மைத் தேடுகிற ஆத்துமாவுக்கும் கர்த்த

"Seek God's wisdom in challenges."

Image
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. When we face challenges and problems, we need guidance and direction as we lack wisdom in some areas. We get stuck and don't know how to move forward. We run to people for help instead of seeking God's wisdom to handle the situation. Here, Apostle James says that we need to ask God for wisdom, as He gives it generously without reproach to all who ask. King Solomon asked God for wisdom, and God gave him not only wisdom but all other blessings, too. God expects us to seek Him and His kingdom first with all our hearts and minds, and then all other things will be added to us. As Jesus said, let us ask, seek, and knock until we receive what we need. Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." உங்களில் ஒருவன் ஞானத்தில் குறைவுள்ளவனாயிருந்தால், யாவருக்கும் சம்பூரணமாய்க்

"Honor others with humility and love."

Image
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Philippians 2:3. Apostle Paul tells the Philippians not to be selfish or try to impress others. Instead, they should be humble and think of others as better than themselves. Humility is the most difficult lesson for us because we are all naturally self-centered. Christ's followers need humility, which means helping others instead of thinking only about ourselves. We need to honor others. Arrogance, or being too proud, makes us selfish and goes against Christ's teachings of love. Paul describes how Jesus humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of His obedience and humility, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above every name. The word of God says that God will lift us up if we humble ourselves before Him. Romans 12:10 says, “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor gi

"Help the Poor, Receive God's Blessings"

Image
He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given. Proverbs 19:17. Today's verse teaches us that the Lord will repay those who help the poor. In the story of the Last Judgment, Jesus indicates that acts of kindness and charity will be considered in the final judgment : “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink” (Mt 25:35) . Jesus' words provide guidance for our lives. Those who help the poor, who lack life's basic necessities, will be blessed by God. Though the poor may never be able to repay our generosity, the Lord can certainly reward us. By helping the needy, we fulfill God's will and do the work of God, ensuring the eternal blessings. Matthew 25:40 says, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” ஏழைக்கு இரங்குகிறவன் கர்த்தருக்குக் கடன்கொடுக்கிறான்; அவன் கொடுத்ததை அவர் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பார். நீதிமொழிகள் 1

"Do Good and Reap Happiness"

Image
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9. Apostle Paul wrote this verse to the church in Galatia, knowing that they were struggling with the responsibilities of day-to-day life. He encouraged them not to grow weary in doing good, assuring them that in due season, God would perform miracles if they did not lose heart. Often, we feel discouraged when people repay our kindness with negativity. However, as children of God, we should persist in doing good, even when others try to bring us down and trust that God will lift us up in His perfect timing. For example, King David had the opportunity to kill King Saul, who had repeatedly tried to kill him, but David chose not to. Because of his goodness, God exalted David to be king. Similarly, if we remain steadfast and bold in doing good to others without expecting anything in return, we, too, will reap a harvest in due season, and great things will happen in our lives. Ps

"Blessed to Be a Blessing"

Image
Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Genesis 1:28. When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them the promise to be blessed and to be a blessing. Being fruitful and multiplying means raising future generations. Having dominion over everything means turning situations in their favor. Today, we need to be blessed to be a blessing for others. Abraham inherited this promise and became the father of nations, through whom every generation is blessed. Many times, our situation may not favor us, and things may not go the way we want. But God's intention is for us to turn every situation, even adverse ones, in our favor so that we can achieve our purpose on this earth. The Bible says Isaac sowed during a famine and reaped a hundredfold in the same year. Let us make every possible effort to be a blessing to others and turn every opportunity in our favor. Eph

"Embrace Wisdom, Find the Way"

Image
Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life. Proverbs 4:13. This proverb teaches us how we should live by listening to instructions. King Solomon says that we need to keep our father’s command and not forsake the law of our mother. We should bind them continually upon our hearts and tie them around our necks. When we roam, they will lead us; when we sleep, they will keep us; and when we awake, they will speak with us. When we listen to and hold onto these instructions, they provide a way of life. We need to fear God and listen to His word to receive life and eternal blessing. His commandments light our way and lead us in the way of life. Whoever is willing to be disciplined by these instructions will find the way of life.  Proverbs 6:23 says, “For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life.” புத்திமதியை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொள், அதை விட்டுவிடாதே; அதைக்காத்துக்கொள், அதுவே உனக்கு ஜீவன். நீதிமொழிகள் 4:13. அற

"Blessed Are Those Who Honor God"

Image
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Psalm 33:12. This verse says that the blessings of God will be upon the nation that gives the first place to God and honors Him. The Bible says God looks down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there are any who understand who seek God. God created man to worship Him with all their heart, mind, and soul. God longs for our love. He had fellowship with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and blessed them. How blessed they were to have a covenant-keeping God who is the Creator of the universe. How blessed they were to be His chosen people. The nation of Israel was God’s special inheritance as they followed His laws. If we love and honor God with all our hearts, we will be blessed with the blessings of being His sons and daughters.  1 John 3:1 says, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because

"Faith Grows Through Endurance"

Image
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4. In our daily life, we struggle to be patient when we face problems one after another; instead, we murmur and complain. Apostle James tells us to face our problems and difficulties with joy, knowing that this will give us the ability to withstand hardship. When we depend on God and trust His Word, our faith becomes stronger, and we are drawn closer to God by these challenges. This helps us to grow in the Lord every day. Apostle Paul also encourages us to always rejoice in the Lord, even during tough times, and give thanks to the Lord in all circumstances. Trials test our faith, and when we trust God through trials, our faith increases. From God's perspective, growing our faith is more important than avoiding difficulties. Today's verse teaches that perfection and complete maturity come from having perfect faith in God, built through endurance.  Romans 5:3 says, "And no

"God is Our Strong Tower"

Image
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10. This is a precious promise of God. In this scripture, the Lord is described as a strong tower. During the time when the book of Proverbs was written, a strong tower was a place of safe refuge that was sturdily built and heavily secured. Strong towers were constructed to hold large amounts of food and supplies in those days. It is also a place where people could run for safety when threatened by the enemy. If we believe in His name and follow His commandments faithfully, we will be protected from all dangers. Whenever we call upon His name with faith, we will be protected. God's name is a place of protection. If we put our trust in Him, we can run and be safe in His secret place. King David wrote in Psalm 91 about His protection as a refuge and fortress from all evil powers of the enemy. Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust

"Embrace the New in Christ"

Image
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:18, 19. This is a great promise of God for us today. Apostle Paul mentioned, "The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” To become a new creation in Christ, we need to get rid of the old things. Often we get stuck with the things of the world and are unable to move forward. Fear about tomorrow prevents us from thinking about our future. Past hurts, mistakes, failures, brokenness, and pain pull us backward. Today, God is speaking to us to stop looking behind and start looking ahead. We should not dwell on the past. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is the beginning and the end. When we forget the past, we open a way for God to start a new chapter in us. We should trust in the Lord, who makes a road in the wild

"Experiencing God's Love Daily"

Image
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. Psalm 91:14. Here, King David mentions the intimate relationship he has with God as he experiences God's love every day. During difficult times, in the valley of the shadow of death, God delivered him. In all circumstances, he experienced God's love by walking closely with Him. Throughout the Psalms, David describes the nature, attributes, and power of God. He portrays God as his protector, refuge, fortress, stronghold, strength, and shield. The secret to knowing God's protection and seeing it manifest in our lives is to know God intimately. To know God intimately means to understand and experience Him in our lives and to develop a deep and personal relationship with Him. If we trust Him and walk closely with Him, He will take us to higher places and bless us. Psalm 22:8 says, “He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescue him; Let Him deliver him since He delig

"Submit to God, Resist the devil, and Overcome"

Image
Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7. This is a powerful verse teaching us how to cast the devil out of our difficult situations. First, we need to submit ourselves to God. This means humbly surrendering ourselves, our desires, our plans, and our strength to God. It is no longer I, but Christ who lives within me and fights for me. Secondly, resist the devil. When we submit ourselves to God, He will take complete control over us and start fighting the battle for us. Thirdly, the devil will flee; When God within us fights the battle, the devil cannot stay and will have to flee from us. God will teach, train, and guide us on how to fight when we surrender ourselves to Him. In the same way, Joshua brought down the walls of Jericho by submitting himself to God and following God-given strategies. Deuteronomy 28:7 says, "The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee

"Faithful Legacy for Future Generations"

Image
Children’s children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their father. Proverbs 17:6.  A godly man leaves an inheritance to his grandchildren, and a godly grandfather's legacy should positively impact future generations forever. He should instruct his sons and daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters in the ways of the Lord so that they come to saving faith in Christ, mature in their faith, and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul highlights the historical and family connections in Timothy's faith, describing it as sincere faith that first lived in his grandmother Lois and then in his mother Eunice, and now lives in him as well. Similarly, we should build our generation in faith and glorify His name. A God-fearing man who fulfills his roles and responsibilities as God designed becomes the praise and glory of his children and grandchildren. Psalm 127:3 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit

"Delight in God's Word Always"

Image
I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word. Psalm 119:16. In this verse, the Psalmist expresses his delight in God’s word. The word "delight" means “to gain great pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness.” He enjoyed meditating on God's word because it brought him great pleasure, peace, joy, and satisfaction. When we carefully treasure God's word within us, God fills our hearts with wisdom and knowledge, and we are not easily deceived by wicked people. King David says in Psalm 1 that if we delight in the law of the Lord, we will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever we do shall prosper. It is our choice to live our lives in His word. When we do not delight in God’s word, we are inclined to forget it. Another blessing of delighting in His word is knowing His will and our future plans.  Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the

"God's Timing is Always Perfect"

Image
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. Isaiah 30:18. This verse reveals the character of God: patient, gracious, merciful, and just. He is our perfect God, doing things in His own time. There are even times when we wonder if God is listening to our prayers. The Bible says that Abraham, who followed God faithfully, waited a long time for a child. His wife Sarah lost hope and asked him to have a baby with her maid, Hagar. But God patiently handled the situation to teach them who He is and how faithful His promises are. He made them wait to receive the blessing of His covenant son, Isaac. Often, we try to find solutions in our own ways without considering God's will. When we fail, we go back to God and seek His help. But our God of patience waits for us because He is gracious toward us. Even though our decisions are not alway
