Blog # 361 - "Celebrate victories through worship and praise"

Image
I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:17. This scripture says how King David gives praises to the God of righteousness and to the name of the Lord Most High. This verse encourages us to praise and worship the Lord for His righteousness and His sovereignty. David is praising God’s name as “ God Most High.” We first see "God Most High," which in Hebrew is “ El Elyon ” ; in Genesis 14:18, Melchizedek is identified as "priest of God Most High." This name occurs multiple times in the Psalms. It identifies God as the supreme, exalted sovereign in heaven. We must celebrate all the victories over our trials and tribulations through worship and praise. He is the great king over all the earth. Are you celebrating your victories through worship and praise? Psalm 145:7 says: “They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.” நான் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய நீதியின்ப

Blog # 360 - "Enemies flee when prayers rise"

Image
The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly. Psalm 6:9-10. Today, we witness the power of prayer and how the enemy trembles and flees from the children of God when they pray. This verse illustrates how King David prayed to God with faith, and God answered by defeating the enemies who came against him, putting them to shame before him. Similarly, in our lives, when we cry out to God, He will answer our supplications, and we will see our enemies flee from us. God will put to shame those who rise against us when we seek His face with great faith. Do you trust in the power of prayer, believing that God will answer your cries and cause your enemies to flee?   Psalm 50:15 says: “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” கர்த்தர் என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டார்; கர்த்தர் என் ஜெபத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவார். என் பகைஞர் எல்லாரும் வெட்கி மிகவும்

Blog # 359 - "Trust in God's mighty power"

Image
Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding. Job 36:5. Today’s scripture speaks of how mighty our God is and of His strength and understanding. When trouble comes, we often focus more on the problem than on the mighty power of God , and we get discouraged easily. But God expects us to remember and praise Him, that He is all-powerful, strong, and mighty and praise Him. He has the power to control nature, the universe, and all of creation. He sent His only Son into the world to crush the enemy's head at the cross. King David could easily defeat the giant Goliath, revealing the power of God as greater than that of the enemy. We should always remember that our God is the Lord of Hosts, and who is victorious. When we have faith in God and His might, we will see miracles in our lives. Are you remembering to focus on God's mighty power and strength in times of trouble, trusting in His ability to bring victory and miracles into your life?   Ps

Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us. 2 Corinthians 1:10. The Apostle Paul praises God for His power that delivered His children from death and dangers in the past, continues to do so in the present, and will do so forever. God is all-powerful. He is omnipotent. He is our deliverer and redeemer. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When all human hope and help fail, He is there to assist when we call upon His name. There is no one else like Him to give us hope when all doors are closed. We need to be thankful to Him for the past miracles so that we can witness future ones. Even today, He is ready to help us if we place our trust in Him, especially in times of trouble. Do you trust in God's power to deliver and help you in times of trouble, just as He has done in the past? Psalm 18:2 says: "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield a

Blog # 357 - "Sow peace to reap righteousness."

Image
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 1:18. Today’s verse speaks about the fruit of righteousness. It is the peacemaker who sows seeds of peace to reap a harvest of righteousness. The Apostle James uses the word "peace" here to refer to the right relationships among people. He desires peace in the church and among believers, knowing that peace is the only environment in which righteousness can flourish. God loves peacemakers. The wisdom of this world produces trouble, while the wisdom from above produces peace among people. God-trusting, self-sacrificing heavenly wisdom is the source of peace, gentleness, mercy, and righteousness. Are you sowing seeds of peace to reap a harvest of righteousness? Matthew 5:9 says: "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God."

Blog # 356 - "Praising God for His Mercy and Truth"

Image
For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds. Psalm 57:10. King David praises and glorifies God in this verse for His boundless mercy and truth. He is filled with joy and inspired to praise with song and music. The first part describes God's mercy as "great above the heavens," flowing from His loving heart through His chosen people, sending Christ to die for them, giving new life, forgiving sins, and granting eternal life. The second part speaks of God's truth reaching unto the clouds. Just as clouds cover the sky, God’s truth covers all of life, leaving no room for doubt. This illustrates the power of God’s truth, providing His people with a solid foundation for trust. Are you praising God for His mercy and truth?  Psalm 103:11 says, "For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him." உமது கிருபை வானபரியந்தமும், உமது சத்தியம் மேகமண்டலங்கள்பரியந்தமும் எட்டுகிறது. சங்கீதம் 57:10. தாவீது

Blog # 355 - "Praise God for His Spiritual Blessings"

Image
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:3. This verse explains why and how we should praise God for every spiritual blessing. We thank and praise God for sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and to grant us eternal life. Our loving Father is full of grace, kindness, forgiveness, redemption, salvation, freedom, wisdom, and understanding. Through Jesus Christ, His Son, He shares these riches with us. This is the spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Now, let us consider how to praise Him. After recognizing who He is, we should search our hearts and keep ourselves pure and clean before our Holy God. We must worship Him with all our heart, mind, and strength, offering joyful songs. He expects us to worship Him in spirit and in truth. How are you praising and worshipping God for His spiritual blessings in your life?  Psalm 29:2 says: “Give unto t

Blog # 354 - "Living daily as God's true children"

Image
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. John 1:12. For in Christ Jesus, we are all children of God through faith. When we believe that Jesus came into this world, suffered, shed His blood, died on the cross, and rose again to redeem us from darkness, we become children of God. The nature of our relationship with Him is that He is our Father, and we are His children. This means we must learn to listen, obey, and love Him more and more. The Father speaks clearly to us through His Word. To maintain this relationship daily, we must please Him by examining ourselves, asking for forgiveness, and making things right with Him. Additionally, meditating on the Word of God and applying it in our lives will draw us closer to Him as His children. Are you living as a true child of God by listening, obeying, and loving Him more each day?  1 John 3:10 says: “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manif

Blog # 353 - "Boldly approach the throne of grace"

Image
In Christ Jesus our Lord, we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Ephesians 3:12. This verse says that because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. Jesus Christ redeemed us with His blood, saving us and making us children of God. He has also given us the power and authority to approach His throne boldly, to receive mercy and help in our times of need. We can go to Jesus at any moment, in any place, and He answers our prayers. If we have sin or heaviness in our hearts, we should ask for forgiveness and approach His presence boldly. He loves and cares for us and expects us to depend on Him more. He helps us in our weaknesses. When we do not know what to pray, the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be expressed. Are you approaching God's presence boldly, trusting in the power and authority given through Christ? Hebrews 4:16 says: "Let us therefore come boldly to the

Blog # 352 - "Uplift others with encouraging words"

Image
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25. Scripture says that pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healthy to the bones. The good word is the Word of God , the source of gladness in the face of anxiety. An encouraging word can be a blessing that cheers the anxious, lifts the disappointed, and comforts the downhearted. There is power in the Word of God ; when we speak it to an anxious person or over a situation, changes happen. It brings joy into the lives of people. The tongue has the power of life and death; good people use it for health and life. Just as Jonathan, the son of King Saul, encouraged David when he was hiding in the woods, our goal should be to encourage and build up one another. Are you using your words to encourage and uplift others, bringing joy and comfort to those around you?   Ephesians 4:29 says: “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that

Blog # 351 - "Great blessings follow humble beginnings"

Image
Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. Job 8:7. Today's verse reminds us that humble beginnings can lead to great blessings. In our time, many people start their lives with high expectations, but when things don't go as planned, they often fall into despair, and some even end their lives. Abraham is a prime example in the Bible of someone who started small, yet God made him into a great nation because he followed God's commandments patiently until the end. When we walk with God by faith, like Abraham, and patiently trust in Him, our ending will be better than our beginning in every aspect of life. If we trust in the Lord with all our hearts, focusing on Him instead of our circumstances, we will have a blessed future and receive eternal blessings. Are you patiently trusting in God, like Abraham, to lead you from humble beginnings to great blessings?   Ecclesiastes 7:8 says: "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning there

Blog # 350 - "Seeking God with a devoted heart"

Image
O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1. King David, the psalmist, was a man after God's own heart. He wrote this psalm while in the wilderness of Judah, reflecting his deep personal thoughts on God and urging us to yearn for and seek Him. His use of 'My God' reveals a close relationship with the Lord. David seeks God early in the morning, pouring out his heart and expressing how his soul thirsts for Him in times of hopelessness. His life experience encourages us to call upon God in our own desperate situations. God desires us to seek, find, and know Him. Are you seeking God with the same deep longing and devotion as King David did in times of need? In Matthew 11:28 , Jesus says: Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. தேவனே, நீர் என்னுடைய தேவன்; அதிகாலமே உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; வறண்டதும் விடாய்த்ததும் தண்ணீரற்றதுமான நிலத்திலே

Blog # 349 - "Blessings come through obedience to God"

Image
The Lord will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 28:8. This verse is a powerful promise from God for those who obey His commands. The blessings for obedience include fruitful land, many children, abundant food, protection from enemies, and earthly prosperity. Today, we receive spiritual blessings—salvation through Jesus Christ, who sought us and bought us with His life. He expects us to abide in His Word and apply it in our lives. In doing so, we receive blessings in the land where God has placed us, including good health, peace, love, and joy. Do you experience God's blessings through obedience to His commands?   Genesis 26:3 says:  “Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.”

Blog # 348 - "Worship from a heart of holiness"

Image
Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23. Asaph, a worship leader during the time of King David, wrote Psalm 50 with the theme of true worship. True worship is a matter of the heart, expressed through a lifestyle of holiness. Man may look at the externals, but God looks at the heart; He knows the inner thoughts and hidden attitudes of the mind. When we offer God our true worship, we invite the Holy Spirit to search our hearts for anything that is not pleasing to Him, and He helps us to bless Him. He will show us His salvation when we follow His path of righteousness with a heart of thanksgiving. Our faith in God pleases Him, and our genuine thanksgiving glorifies Him. Are you offering true worship from the depths of your heart, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you in a life of holiness? John 4:24 says: "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." ஸ்தோத்திர பலிய

Blog # 347 - "Finding joy in trials through faith"

Image
He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing. Job 8:21. The Book of Job gives an account of a righteous man who faithfully responded to difficult trials. This verse is part of a discourse between Job and his friend, Bildad, who has been attempting to counsel Job through his suffering. Laughter and rejoicing are not merely internal feelings but outward signs of celebration and exultation. How God filled Job's mouth with laughter and joy, He will do for us even in the path of affliction and troubles. God is our fountain of life; if we believe Him from the depths of our hearts, He will bring joy and laughter in our mouths and lips. Do you trust God to bring joy and laughter into your life, even during difficult trials? P salm 126:2 says: "Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Blog # 346 - "Value character more than material wealth"

Image
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1. This verse says that a good reputation is more desirable than great riches and being esteemed by others is more honorable than wealth. Have you ever thought about what people think of us when they hear our names? We cannot buy a good name or an honorable reputation with great riches. We can attain these by living a good life, walking in the word of God, and making wise choices that reflect our good character. The "loving favor" refers to how we treat others and how others treat us. It is more valuable than silver and gold. If we are humble and consider others as better than ourselves, they will treat us well in return. How do people speak of you to others? Are you often praised in your absence? Do others love to spend time with you?  Philippians 2:3 says: “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better

Blog # 345 - "Praising God reflects His eternal glory."

Image
May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works. Psalm 104:31. The Lord rejoices in His works because they reflect His glory. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament displays His handiwork. King David wrote many psalms celebrating the glory of the Lord, offering praises and thanksgiving for His magnificent creations, boundless love, enduring mercies, and unwavering faithfulness. The Lord's mercy endures forever, and His creations reveal His infinite power and wisdom. He delights in His works, for they showcase His glory. When we praise and worship Him, He rejoices in our adoration. He created us to praise His name and desires us to worship Him in every aspect of our lives, not just on the Sabbath. Are you worshiping and praising God in every aspect of your life, reflecting His glory through your actions? Psalm 118:1 says, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! Blog # 344 - "Resist fear with God's promises"

Image
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame. Isaiah 54:4. Today's verse is a promise from God, telling us not to fear, for we will not be put to shame. Fear is a weapon of the enemy. The devil tries to bring us down with stress, anxiety, depression, discouragement, and disgraceful words. That leads us to live in darkness and shame in every area of our lives. We must recognize the devil's tricks and overcome him with the Word of God. The Word of God says that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, knowing that our brothers worldwide are undergoing the same kinds of suffering. Are you standing firm in your faith and resisting satan's attempts to bring fear and shame into your life?   Isaiah 41:10 says, ”Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. Psalm 115:15,16. Today's scripture speaks of God's blessings upon us and His authority over all creation. God created the heavens and the earth. The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to man. This acknowledges God’s continuing dominion over the heavens and over all creation. We should rejoice and bless His name for all the provision, protection, and salvation He provides on earth. Since the beginning, He has been giving. He gave the Garden of Eden to mankind and later provided the means for salvation when man sinned. Even today, everything we possess is given by Him. We don’t own anything; it's all a gift. There is nothing we brought into this world and we take nothing away. We are given everything to enjoy while we are here. We should always remember Him and be thankful. Are you grateful for

You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11. This verse encourages those who fear the Lord to trust in Him, as He is their help and shield. We know that the fear of God is not about being afraid of Him; it is about giving Him reverence, honor, and priority in every area of our lives. The image of God as a 'help' and a 'shield' has deep meaning. In the ancient world, a shield was an essential piece of armor that provided protection from enemy attacks. Likewise, God is portrayed as a shield, providing His people with defense against their enemies. Additionally, God as help emphasizes His role as a helper for His people in times of trouble. This conveys a sense of God's active involvement in the lives of those who trust in Him. Are you trusting in God's protection and help in every area of your life? Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Psalm 116:5,6. King David describes the nature of God as gracious, righteous, and merciful, reflecting on how God rescued him from many troubles, dangers, and deadly situations. He praised God for His compassion, mercy, tender heart, and grace. Similarly, Jesus showed compassion by healing everyone He encountered—the sick, paralyzed, demon-possessed, sinful people, and servants. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus shares the well-known parable of the prodigal son to illustrate God’s character, highlighting His compassion and forgiveness. God also preserves the humble and saves them. We are called to be ready to show each other kindness and to desire the good of others. Do you have God's compassion and mercy? By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5:2. In this scripture, we are reminded that our love for others is deeply connected to our love for God. True love for the people around us flows naturally when we are committed to loving God and following His commandments. This verse tells us that our relationship with God is the key to how we treat others. When we love God, we align our hearts with His, and this alignment helps us to love our brothers and sisters. Keeping God’s commandments is not just about following rules; it’s about living out His love in practical ways, showing kindness, patience, forgiveness, and compassion.  As we strive to love God more fully, let that love extend to those around us. By loving and obeying Him, we become channels of His love, touching the lives around us with grace and truth. Does your love for God influence the way you treat others?  Ephesians 5:2 says, "And walk in love, as Christ also

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. Proverbs 25:11. In this verse, King Solomon praised good words spoken at the right time by comparing them to a beautiful scene, like apples of gold in settings of silver. Imagine golden apples in a silver bowl or basket. What a beautiful combination of colors and images! Words well-spoken are just like that. Our words, when used wisely, are precious, valuable, lovely, and unique. The Bible has a lot to say about the power of words. Even Jesus spoke the perfect words wisely at the right time when the Pharisees and Sadducees tried to trap Him with difficult questions. If we walk in the wisdom of God, we can also have God's wisdom to handle difficult situations in our families with our children, spouses, in-laws, friends, and even in our workplaces. When someone is hurt or discouraged, our words of wisdom will comfort, encourage, and bring peace to their lives. Do you use your words wisely to bring comfort and encourage

Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:13,14. Apostle Paul tells the church at Colossae to bear with one another and forgive one another in love. In Ephesians 4:2 , he says that with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, we should bear with one another in love. We should have these three important characteristics - humility, gentleness, and patience - to practice every day in our lives. In Christ, we forgive each other and accept each other's faults because Jesus has already paid for our sins on the cross and the sins of those who hurt us. If we don't share this forgiveness, resentment, bitterness, and hatred will fill our hearts and sadden the Spirit of God within us. We should treat others as we would treat ourselves. We must stop living with unreasonable expectations of eac

He will bless those who fear the Lord, Both small and great. May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. Psalm 115:13,14. This is a great promise of blessing for those who fear the Lord. Abraham feared the Lord, and he followed all His commandments, so God blessed his generation, both small and great. When the Bible refers to the 'fear of the Lord'  means having a deep respect, reverence, and awe for God’s power and authority. Rather than causing someone to be afraid of God, a proper 'fear of the Lord' leads one to love Him and obey His words. We see that all blessings come through Christ, whose redemptive work has made all necessary provisions. When we love Him with all our heart, mind, and soul, He gives eternal blessings to us, our children, and even multiplies into our future generations. Will you cultivate a deep respect and reverence for God, leading you to love and obey Him, thereby receiving His blessings for yourself and future generat

‘If you will still remain in this land, then I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up. For I relent concerning the disaster that I have brought upon you. Jeremiah 42:10. This verse is a message of hope from God through the prophet Jeremiah to us today. Like the people of Israel, we have also rebelled many times against God's call and plan. We faced the consequences of making wrong choices and disobeying God. But when we come to Him by repenting and seeking Him with a truly submitted heart, we can see the move of God in us. Jeremiah uses the imagery of building and planting in this verse to convey growth, stability, and prosperity. God promises to 'build' us and not 'pull us down,' indicating that He will strengthen and establish us. Similarly, the promise to 'plant' the people and not 'pluck them up' suggests a sense of rootedness and permanence. This imagery communicates God's desire to bless and prosper

He who follows righteousness and mercy,  finds life, righteousness, and honor. Proverbs 21:21. Today's verse offers a profound promise to those who choose to follow the paths of righteousness and mercy. These two virtues are pillars of a life that reflects the heart and character of God. To "follow righteousness" means to actively seek to do what is right in the eyes of God. It involves making choices that align with His will, living a life of integrity, and being faithful to His commandments. "Mercy," on the other hand, involves compassion, forgiveness, and kindness towards others. It is about showing grace even when it is undeserved. Just as God shows us mercy every day.  When we follow the above two, we find: Life:  This refers to a life filled with purpose, joy, and spiritual fulfillment. Righteousness: It is not our own but the righteousness of God, which we receive through faith and by living according to His ways. Honor: Refers to the respect and digni
