Blog # Y2 012 - "Prepare Your Heart for Worship"

Image
Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1. This scripture is a warning not to approach God's house without humility and careful thought. Proper preparation for worship is more important than the act of worship itself, especially if that worship is done without understanding. The reason why the "sacrifice of fools" is meaningless is that they lack knowledge—they don't want to listen and hear from God. This can happen in our lives as well. How many times do we attend church without preparing our hearts and minds? If we remain ignorant, our worship will not be acceptable to God. What is your attitude towards God when you go to church? We need to search our hearts to see whether we fear God and give Him reverence before entering His presence.  Romans 12:1 says: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present yo

Blog # Y2 011 - "Calling on God with Confidence"

Image
As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:16-17. Here, King David speaks of calling upon God's name for salvation. He mentions crying out to the Lord three times a day with a loud voice. Why would David pray this way? It’s because he understands that only God can save him from all his fears, trials, and problems. Similarly, we can call upon the Lord when we are discouraged, afraid, or worried. Jesus bore all our burdens and sins on the cross and saved us. We should also have confidence in the Lord like David, constantly reaching out to Him in prayer and with thanksgiving. He hears our voice and delivers us when we pray continually. When you are afraid, do you cry out to the Lord with confidence in prayer?   Jeremiah 33:3 says: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்

Blog # Y2 010 - "Jesus: Our Faithful Friend Forever"

Image
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24. Today’s verse talks about how a friend can be more faithful than a brother. Friendship requires good character, and good friends can sometimes be even closer than family. Here, we see Jesus telling His disciples that He is our true friend. Christ’s statement in John 15:13-15 demonstrates His boundless love for us. Jesus died for our sins, showing what true, selfless love looks like. If we have Jesus as our true friend, He will help us in all our ways, guide us, and lead us to eternal life. Whenever we call upon Him in times of trouble, He helps us. His love is amazing. Are you relying on Jesus as your true friend who guides and helps you in times of trouble? James 2:23 says: “And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.” சிநேகிதருள்ளவன் சிநேகம் பாராட்டவேண்டும்;

Blog # Y2 009 - "Jesus Christ, the light brings healing and joy"

Image
Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound. Isaiah 30:26. This verse highlights the compassionate nature of God, who, despite our failures and defiance, remains ever-ready to heal and restore. God promises to bless nature with abundance. The sun's brightness will increase sevenfold like the light of seven days. Light, as opposed to darkness, is part of God's blessing. This light, symbolizing knowledge, shall increase. It is the light that came down to earth from heaven, the light that the gospel brought into the world, proclaiming healing to the broken-hearted. When we call on His name, He heals our wounds and sets us free from all grievances and afflictions. One day, Jesus Christ, this light will return and take us to be with Him. Then there will be no more sorrow and no more pain, for His co

Blog # Y2 008 - "How to listen God's voice Daily"

Image
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21. This verse explains how to hear and follow God's voice. God speaks to us in various ways, and we can prepare by being still and clearing away distractions. This "quiet time" practice helps us focus on Christ. The more time we spend in His presence, the better we’ll recognize His voice. Prayerfully reading the Bible is the best way to do this. When we surrender to God and invite Him to speak, we can hear His gentle voice. God wants us to rely on Him and listen to His direction in everything we do. He desires for us to become all that He created us to be. He has a plan to guide us there, but we must be obedient and follow His leading. Are you spending quiet time in God's presence to better recognize His voice and follow His guidance in your life?  Proverbs 3:6 says: "In all your ways acknowledge Him, An

Blog # Y2 007 - "Born again through Holy Spirit renewal"

Image
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5. Many believe that salvation comes through the works of righteousness that we have done. However, it does not. God brings salvation to us through the work of the Holy Spirit, who is poured out richly through Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul says that God saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. He describes regeneration as a cleansing and a renewal, which is another way of speaking about the new birth, second birth, or being born again. We need regeneration because. God will not bring unchanged into His new creation. As Jesus said, unless we are born again, we will not see the kingdom of God (John 3:3), Which is why all of us must be born again. Are you born again, as Jesus and Apostle Paul emphasized? Ephesians 2:4-5 says: "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love wi

Blog # Y2 006 - "Seeking God's Guidance Every Day"

Image
I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17. This is God's promise that He will teach us and guide us in the way we should go. Every day, we need to seek Him through His Word, asking for wisdom to be led and guided in the way we should go. King David speaks in Psalm 23 about how God leads him as a shepherd leads his sheep. God leads His people to green pastures and along the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. He restores His children and protects them from all dangers. He prepares all heavenly blessings for His children when we seek Him more. Are you seeking God's guidance and wisdom every day to follow the path He has prepared for you?   Psalm 32:8 says: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."

Blog # Y2 005 - "Meekness Brings Peace and Blessings"

Image
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5. Today's scripture speaks about the meek, who will receive all the blessings from God on earth and in heaven. A meek person is not self-willed and is not constantly concerned with their own ways, ideas, or desires. They are willing to put themselves in second place and submit to what is good for others. Meekness is not weakness; it is power under control. Proverbs 16:32 says, "He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city." James 3:13 says that meekness is denying self and seeking others' interests with humility and wisdom. To inherit the earth means having peace with God and with men.  Are you seeking the fruit of meekness in your life?   Psalm 37:11 says: "But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்.

Blog # Y2 004 - "Compassion and Purity Reflect True Faith"

Image
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27. Apostle James describes “pure and genuine religion” as the kind that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless: caring for orphans and widows in their distress, and keeping oneself unpolluted by the world. He highlights three signs that prove our religion is real: it impacts our conversation, our compassion, and our character. Pure religion involves loving God and others, especially those who are alone, forgotten, or in trouble, with the right motives. It recognizes the distress in the world and moves to meet that need.  Prophet Zechariah says that not to oppress the widow or the fatherless (Zechariah 7:10). "You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child." (Exodus 22:22).  God expects us to take action in helping orphans and widows at any time. Are you showing compassion to orphans and widows and keepin

Blog # Y2 003 - "Listen Quickly, Speak and Anger Slowly"

Image
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. James 1:19. Apostle James instructed the followers of Christ to focus on three key commands:  Be swift to hear,  Slow to speak, Slow to wrath.  First:  "Be swift to hear" means being quick to listen. We often rush to do things that don’t matter, but if we listen to God's voice, we’ll move in the right direction, where He wants us to be.  Second:  "Slow to speak" means to talk less. Before speaking, we should slow down, wait, and think about our words.  Third:  "Slow to wrath" means calm down. Anger is an emotion that must be controlled.  If we’re quick to listen, we’ll be slow to speak. But if we’re slow to listen, we’ll likely be quick to speak, and quick speaking often leads to quick anger. The angrier we get, the faster we speak and the less we hear. We must ask God for help to control our anger. When we focus on God and abide in Him, we can overcome. Are you

Blog # Y2 002 - "Choose God's Will Over the World"

Image
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:17. There is a clear contrast between the two statements in this verse. Those who follow God's will live forever, while those who chase temporary worldly things will lose their life. The believers who please the world will lose their reward. The choice before us is whether to do God's will or satisfy our fleshly desires. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are called to follow His words and live with the mind of Christ, striving to do His will. However, if after receiving salvation we fall into worldly temptations—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—we will not enter into heaven. Many of us desire to do God's will, but are not willing to sacrifice what is necessary to please Him. Are you willing to sacrifice worldly desires in order to follow God's will and receive eternal life? Romans 12:2 says: "And do not be conformed to

Blog # Y2 001 - "Praise Deepens Our Relationship with God"

Image
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 106:1. We truly praise the Lord when we give Him thanks for what we have received from Him. Gratitude toward the Lord is an attitude of the heart that deepens our intimate relationship with God. Being thankful to God is an act of worship. King David says: “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1). The Apostle Paul encourages us to always thank the Lord for the grace of God given to us in Christ Jesus. Let us never be slow to return our praises to the Lord. He is worthy to be praised. Even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful to His covenant, consistently showing us grace, mercy, and kindness. Are you deepening your relationship with God by giving Him thanks and praise for all He has done?   1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்ல

Blog # 365 - "Trusting in God's Compassion and Care"

Image
For the Lord hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners. Psalm 69:33. This scripture describes the nature of our God as a compassionate God who cares for the poor and the oppressed. In this verse, the "poor" represent those who are economically and socially in need, while the "prisoners" symbolize those who are physically or emotionally captive. The Psalms frequently mention God’s concern for the suffering people in the world. Despite his suffering and rejection, King David maintains faith that God is not indifferent to his pain. He trusts in God's righteous character and finds comfort during hardship. This reminds us that God’s love and care reach everyone, especially those who are vulnerable and in need. It encourages us to trust in God’s compassion and to seek His help in times of trouble. Are you calling out to God or to man when you are in trouble? Psalm 22:24 says: "For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor h

Blog # 364 - "Choose righteousness for eternal life."

Image
In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death. Proverbs 12:28. This verse uses life and death as symbols. Life represents abundance, vitality, and blessings, while death symbolizes spiritual and moral decay. It suggests that following the path of righteousness leads to a life filled with good things, while straying from it results in spiritual death and separation from God. By choosing righteousness, one can enjoy a fulfilling life and avoid the spiritual and ethical downfall that comes from turning away from God. A life of righteousness is pleasing to God and brings about blessings and abundance. There is no death in the path of the righteous. King Solomon states that the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death. What is your choice—righteous life or sinful life?  Romans 6:23 says: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” நீதியின் பாதையில் ஜீவன் உண்டு; அந்தப் பாதையில் மரணம் இல்லை. நீ

Blog # 363 - "Generosity leads to true prosperity."

Image
The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. Proverbs 11:25. The first part of this scripture says that those who are generous will be made rich or prosperous. In the Bible, prosperity has a lot to do with well-being and flourishing, enjoying the fullness of life as God intends for us. If we want to experience an abundant life, we must be generous. The second part says that he who waters will also be watered himself. Watering takes place in the form of doing a good deed to help others. God has instilled within us gifts of skills and talents to help those around us. We must extend one hand open to God to receive His blessings and extend the other hand to those who are in need. Do you embrace generosity by helping others with the gifts and talents God has given you?  Luke 6:38 says: "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you

Blog # 362 - "Trust in persistent prayer and patience"

Image
And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? Luke 18:7. This verse is a parable of Jesus telling His disciples about the persistent widow. In the parable, Jesus describes a widow who seeks justice. At first, the judge refuses to help her, but the widow persistently pleads for justice. Eventually, the judge grants her request, not because he cares about justice, but because he is worn down by her continual pleas. Jesus uses this parable to teach His disciples about the importance of patience, persistent prayer, and faith in God's justice. In the same way, Jesus is telling us today that we should wait patiently with faith in prayer, trusting that we will receive a miracle from Him without losing hope. Are you practicing patience and persistent prayer, trusting that God will bring justice and miracles in His timing? Romans 12:12 says: “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” அந்தப்படியே
