"Wisdom Begins with Fearing God"

Image
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6. Wisdom is God's treasure, and He offers it to us. We need to seek it with all our hearts, and He will give us His understanding. Wisdom starts with fearing the Lord, as stated in Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." The basis for fearing God is humility, deep reverence, and submission. If we have these qualities, God will grant us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. This will help us to identify right and wrong, good and evil, and to live a successful and peaceful life. King Solomon asked God for an understanding heart to judge His people and to discern between good and evil. So, we need to ask God for wisdom, just as King Solomon did. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." கர்த்தர் ஞானத்தைத்

"By Faith, Victory Over All Spiritual Enemies"

Image
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Psalm 91:13. This verse shows the power and authority that God's children, who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, have over the enemy. Here, King David mentioned four kinds of beasts and reptiles: the lion, cobra, young lion, and serpent. Normally, we are afraid to stand before these because they can kill us. These represent our spiritual and physical enemies: fear, death, sin, deception, and danger. Life’s unexpected hurts are like snake bites. But the verse says God has given us the power and authority to trample them if we trust in the Lord. David killed a lion and a bear when he was taking care of his sheep as a shepherd boy, with the power of God Almighty. And Jesus Christ trampled the old serpent, Satan, under His feet when He hung on the cross, destroying the principalities and powers. We, too, can trample over the enemy, satan, if we inherit such power and author

"God Sees Everything Always"

Image
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3. No one in heaven or on earth can hide from God's watchful eyes. He is always watching over His creation, seeing and knowing everything about everyone, both good and bad. In Genesis 16, an Egyptian servant named Hagar goes through hard times and learns that God is the God who sees . When she was in distress, hiding and traveling in the wilderness, Hagar called Him "El Roi," which means “the God Who Sees me.” He knows our situation, and He is in control and trustworthy. In Psalm 139, King David says he cannot hide his thoughts, dreams, or even unspoken words from God. God fully knows even the thoughts and intents of our hearts. There is nothing in our lives that we can hide from Him. Even if we have secret sins that others do not know about, He knows each one fully. But when we confess our sins, He is ready to save us. Proverbs 5:21 says, “For the ways of man are before the ey

"Follow God's Path and Listen to His Words Daily"

Image
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. Psalm 119:35. Today's scripture says that we should ask God to lead us to walk in the path of His commandments. We all have the desire to walk in His ways, but we fail to do so consistently. In Psalm 23, King David compares himself to a sheep and God to a shepherd. As long as the sheep listen to the voice of the shepherd and obey, they are safe. If they don't listen, they struggle and get caught up in trouble. Likewise, we need to follow Jesus by hearing His voice and obeying His word every day to live a blessed life. For that, we need to delight in His word and meditate on it day and night. Psalm 23:2 says, "He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters."

"Blessings Crown the Righteous"

Image
Blessings are on the head of the righteous. Proverbs 10:6. Proverbs often compares the righteous and the wicked. This scripture speaks of what covers the rig hteous man and what covers the wicked as well. We read that blessings are on the righteous man's head, whereas violence covers the wicked. If we look at Abraham in the Bible, God crowned him with blessings because he was a righteous man before God. He was a man of faith, humility, and obedience before God. The blessing that was promised to Abraham is made available to the Gentiles through faith in Jesus. This blessing refers to the promise of salvation and the inheritance of eternal life. Today, if we obey His word and walk in His way s, we also receive His blessings like Abraham. In contrast, the wicked bring forth violence and destruction upon themselves and their generations.  Matthew 5:6 says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled." நீதிமானுடைய சிரசின்மேல் ஆசீர்வாதங

"God turned a curse into a blessing"

Image
The Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you. Deuteronomy 23:5. This is a great promise for the children of God, showing how He turned a curse into a blessing for us. King Balak tried to convince the prophet Balaam to curse Israel, but God put His words in Balaam's mouth to speak blessings over Israel. This is our God, who blesses His children even through the mouths of wicked people. We see here in this verse how much God loves His children. Because of His love for us, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross. He redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree’ (Galatians 3:13) —so that in Christ Jesus, the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles. Galatians 3:14 says, "that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." உன் தேவனாகிய

"God's chosen people, fear not."

Image
You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. Isaiah 41:9,10. This verse speaks to each of us directly, affirming that we are His servants, His chosen people, for a great purpose. Often, we fear for our future and question whether God is with us. But today, God is speaking to us, assuring us that He is with us. God is for us to take hold of. He has called us to be His. He has given us the power to overcome; He has given us the power to live a victorious life in Him. We do not have to live our lives in fear, for He is always with us. He is our God, and we belong to Him. When fear arises, we can claim the promise that God is with us and will make us overcomers. God will strengthen us and help us grow in knowledge, truth, and trust. He will also make us His own special people to proclaim His praises and shine in the darkness.  1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a

"God's blessings are unchangeable and eternal."

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19. This chapter, Numbers 23, shows how God's power and blessings are unchangeable. Even though the King of Moab, Balak, tries hard to curse the Israelites by hiring the prophet Balaam, God intervenes, and Balaam has no choice but to obey God. God is unchangeable and cannot be bribed or impressed with riches, unlike Balaam. God is not a man; He does not lie or change His mind as humans do. This passage teaches us to trust that God always protects us and reminds us that no curse or bad intention can stop His blessings for us. God is perfect in everything He thinks and does. Unlike people who often change their minds and twist the truth, God's advice is solid, His promises are reliable, His words can be trusted, and His truth stays the same forever. If we believe and trust in God with all our hearts, He will ta

"God, our light and strength."

Image
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Psalm 27:1. This is a psalm of confidence in God. There are times in our lives we feel like we are living in a world full of darkness. Although much of the world is lost in darkness, there is still a light. King David proclaimed that God was his light, his salvation, and his strength for the journey along the path of life. Light represents all that is good and is also a source of guidance. The Lord is the source of all goodness and light in our lives. He has given us His Word as a guide: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." ( Psalm 119:105)  Sometimes, when we feel too weak to keep going, David reminds us that God always gives us strength and is the main source of everything in our lives. John 8:12 says,' Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” கர்த்தர்

"Be the head, not the tail."

Image
The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath. Deuteronomy 28:13. God promises that if the people of Israel remain obedient to the law, they will be leaders among nations, not followers—they will be the head. But if they choose to turn their backs on God’s law, they will be followers, not leaders—they will be the tail. We see the fulfillment of this blessing when Israel became a world leader under the reigns of David and Solomon. The curse was fulfilled when the nation of Israel was carried away into exile. Similarly, if we listen to and obey His commandments today, we will be the head and be blessed. God will lift us to stand in high  ' places. However, if we do not obey His voice, we will be the tail, losing all blessings. It is our choice whether we want to be the head or the tail.  Habakkuk 3:19 says, "The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills." கர்த்தர

"Overcome evil with good."

Image
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 1 Thessalonians 5:15. Apostle Paul teaches that as followers of Christ, we should not retaliate or seek revenge when wronged. Instead, we are called to always pursue what is good for ourselves and for others. Rather than seeking opportunities to pay back offenders, we should look for opportunities to forgive and bless them. The Bible says, “Overcome evil with good” through direct acts of kindness. If someone wrongs you, not only forgive them but also do them a favor. Let us always strive to do good to one another and to everyone. By living this way, we reflect the love and grace of Christ. In doing so, we become peacemakers in a world that desperately needs peace. Romans 12:17 says, "Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men." ஒருவனும் மற்றொருவன் செய்யும் தீமைக்குத் தீமைசெய்யாதபடி பாருங்கள். உங்களுக்குள்ளும் மற்ற ய

"Rejoice in Christ our Savior."

Image
And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; It shall rejoice in His salvation. Psalm 35:9. The soul of a child of God rejoices in Christ Jesus. We rejoice in Him because He is the Christ, the Sent One, the Messiah, the Son of God, the eternal surety of His people. We rejoice in Him, for He has redeemed us by His blood. In Luke 1:46-47, Mary, the mother of Jesus, praises God when she receives the news of the birth of Christ through her: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior." Mary clearly understood she was a sinner in need of salvation (Psalm 35:9). Her song of praise declares what God does and how He saves without suggesting that she is an active part in that process. She is honored and happy to obey God's plan and follow His will. Isaiah 61:10 says, "I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness." என்

"Love, care, share and bear burdens."

Image
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2. Christianity is often described as a relational religion, emphasizing the importance of personal relationships with both God and people. This relational aspect is central to Christian theology and practices. The need for loving, caring, sharing, and bearing one another's burdens are essential features of the Christian faith. Each of us has our own challenges and struggles to handle, but in addition, Paul asks us to bear others' burdens. This is essential to fulfill the law of Christ, which is to love God with all of our being and to love our neighbors as ourselves. If we truly love God, the burden-bearing nature of Christians can ignite a fire in the world today, attracting many more to experience the love of Christ. That's why James calls it the "Royal Law" in James 2:8,  "If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you

"God promises protection and deliverance ."

You shall seek them and not find them—Those who contended with you.  Those who war against you shall be as nothing. Isaiah 41:12. This verse from the book of Isaiah in the Old Testament is a powerful reminder of God's promise of protection and deliverance for His people. Within its context, this verse speaks directly to the Israelites, assuring them of God's faithfulness and strength in the face of their enemies. In the midst of uncertainty, Isaiah brings messages of hope, encouragement, and warnings of judgment to the people of Israel, reminding them of God's covenant and promises. It emphasizes His power and ability to overcome any enemy or threat that arises against His people. This reassures us that God is with us and will ultimately triumph over the forces of evil.  Isaiah 54:17 says, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righ

"Unity brings God's abundant blessings."

The Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore. Psalm 133:3. In Psalm 133, we see a depiction of God’s abundant blessing for those who seek to live together in peace, joy, and unity. We know that God is abundantly good, and everything He created is good and reflects, in some measure, His own glory and goodness. God loves us by doing good to us. He wants us to share in His goodness and steadfast love in all of our relationships. Psalm 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is  for brethren to dwell together in unity!”   We learn two blessings from this verse:   First, God gives His blessing where Christ's followers live together in unity.  Living together in unity is an experience of heaven.  In the midst of such unity, as God can't withhold the blessing of eternal life, He speaks blessing over us, saying, 'Life forevermore.'     James 3:17 says, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of merc

"David's prayer reflects God's power."

Image
Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You. Psalm 17:7. This psalm is a prayer of King David. He knows the love and the power of God's right hand. So, he prays to God to show His loving kindness because He is the Savior of those who trust in Him. Encouraged by his faith in God, he believes that God will notice his prayers. God's righteous right hand did wonders in the lives of the people of Israel in the wilderness when they trusted Him. Those who follow the ways of God must, by faith and prayer, receive their daily fresh supplies of grace and strength from Him. Those who trust in Him are made excellent and great because God is kind, merciful, and gentle towards us. We need to pray in faith like David to see marvelous things in our lives and to have protection.  Psalm 18:35 says, “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.” உம்மை நம்புகிறவர்களை அவர்களு

"David loved to worship God."

Image
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1. King David loved to go into the house of the Lord to worship Him, as He had done great things in his life. Like David, we also need to go to church to worship Him with a grateful heart. Let us rejoice in the One who created us. Let us love Him, who loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us and save us from a sinful life. Let us praise Him for the breath of life He gives us each day. Let us honor Him by simply sitting in awe of His presence. Let us serve Him by seeking His presence in our lives. We must confess that there have been times when we were not eager or enthusiastic about coming to the house of God . We must go to the house of God with a joyful heart to worship Him.  Hebrews 10:25 says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குப் ப

"God's strength empowers believers."

God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect. 2 Samuel 22:33. Today's verse is from King David's song, on the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.  David declares that God reveals the way he should follow and praises His name throughout his life for all that He has done. Through David's experience, God reveals Himself as the God of strength, power, forgiveness, compassion, and deliverance, who makes our ways perfect. He granted David the strength needed to bend a bow made of bronze. If we trust and love Him with all our heart and mind, He will strengthen us in both mind and heart to overcome daily challenges. "God's power destroys oppressive yokes."

Image
For now I will break off his yoke from you, And burst your bonds apart. Nahum 1:13. In this verse, Prophet Nahum states that the power of Nineveh will be destroyed to break the yoke laid upon Judah. Nahum emphasizes God's sovereignty over nations and individuals. The Lord God will be the one to destroy Nineveh, and He alone will restore the splendor of Jacob. Nahum's prophecy encourages Christ's followers today to trust in God's ultimate control and His ability to bring down the powers of evil. Despite discouraging circumstances, believers can find hope and confidence in God’s sovereign reign. When we trust in His power and might, He will break the yoke upon us and grant us victory over everything.  This is the confidence and hope we have in our God.  Isaiah 10:27 says, "It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil." இப்போதும் ந

May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:10. Apostle Peter is writing to Christians who have been enduring great persecution. He encourages them by explaining that none of their sufferings are in vain but are meant for eternal glory through Christ Jesus. Peter makes it clear that suffering is unavoidable when we choose to follow Jesus. The Lord Jesus Himself suffered, and after His time of suffering, He entered into His eternal glory and is with us as a living God. Peter also came to understand more fully that after we have experienced suffering for a little while, God, in His grace, will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish us. Romans 8:18 says, "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." அழைத்தவராயிருக்கிற சகல கிருபையும் பொருந்திய தேவன்தாமே கொஞ்சக்கால

"God's ransom brings freedom and joy."

With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10. In Isaiah's prophecy, the people ransomed by the Lord are those saved from the bondage of sin and its consequence of death. This foreshadows the ultimate ransom paid by Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for all humanity throughout history. Through Christ, anyone who chooses to accept Him as their Lord and Savior can be saved. Choosing to follow Christ grants us freedom from the enslavement of sin. This freedom brings joy, peace, and a song of gratitude to our hearts. Walking with Christ daily allows us to dwell in His presence, where we find comfort and our sorrows and distress are driven away.  Revelation 7:17 says, “For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. "God desires intimate relationship with contrite."

Image
I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15. God identifies Himself as the great and exalted One who lives forever and whose name is Holy. He created time, space, matter, and human beings. He stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea. His desire is to renew a right spirit within the hearts of lost souls who are dead in sin. Instead of dwelling in heaven, a holy place, our Almighty God wants to live with us, who are meek, holy, and humble of heart. He also wants to revive those with a contrite spirit and dwell in the hearts of all who believe in His name. This revelation unveils God's heart, characterized by compassion, grace, and accessibility. God is not distant; He longs to have an intimate relationship with us, especially when we approach Him with humility and contrition. Psalm 34:18 says, "The LORD is near to those who have

"Wise son brings joy to parents' hearts."

Image
A wise son makes a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. Proverbs 10:1. Proverbs is a highly parental book. This book of Proverbs was written by King Solomon, the son and successor to King David.  Solomon requested wisdom when God asked him to request for his heart's desire. The wise son is the one who orders his life according to God's commandments and ways.  He walks through life with the Word of God foremost in his mind and choices.  What is interesting here is that the Scriptures say that this son makes his father glad. The point is that parents—fathers or mothers—are blessed when their kids make wise decisions and are pained when they make foolish ones.  A wise son looks to a wise father and mother for guidance, reflecting on the lessons they have already learned, sometimes through trial and error. Proverbs 13:1 says, "A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke." ஞானமுள்ள மகன் தகப்பனைச் சந்தோஷப்படுத்து

"God's Faithfulness Ensures Abundant Provision."

Image
The Lord will give what is good. Psalm 85:12. In today's scripture, we find a profound assurance of God's faithfulness. He promises to provide what is good, and our land will flourish under His care. This verse reminds us that God's goodness extends to every aspect of our lives, both spiritually and materially. As we trust in Him, we can rest assured that He will meet all our needs according to His riches and wisdom. Let us hold fast to this promise, knowing that God's provision is never lacking and His timing is always perfect. May our hearts be filled with gratitude for His abundant blessings. Today, let us lean into God's promises with unwavering faith, confident that He will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. That is what God has promised in Leviticus 26:4 , "I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit." கர்த்தர் நன்மையானதைத் தருவார். சங்கீதம் 85:1

"Rock or Sand: Where do you build your house?"

Image
Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established. Proverbs 24:3. King Solomon expressed in Proverbs that the Lord founded the earth with wisdom and established the heavens with understanding. God is the ultimate source of wisdom, and true wisdom is attained through knowing and understanding of God. Building a relationship with God requires dedicated time spent in connection and communication with Him. Jesus, in one of His parables during the Sermon on the Mount, narrated the story of two builders: one who constructed his house on a rock and another who built it on sand. The house on the rock endured the storm, earning the builder the title of wise, while the house on the sand collapsed, making the builder foolish. Similarly, those who hear and obey the word of God are like the wise builder, constructing their faith on a solid foundation that withstands life's trials. Proverbs 2:2 says, "So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to und

"Bless the Lord at all times."

I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 13:6. King David began this psalm by asking God how long He had completely forgotten him. He felt lost in battle and believed that God no longer cared about him. Then, he refocused his attention on God and His great love. David realized all the good things that God had already done for him and began to rejoice and sing praises to Him. Like David, we often find ourselves complaining and murmuring instead of praising and thanking God. However, if we begin to thank Him and praise Him for His forgiveness and salvation in our lives, it will bring bountiful and eternal blessings. Doing so will enable us to have a song of praise on our lips at all times. Let's give God praise for the wonderful things He has done and is still doing in our lives. Let's continue singing and praising God.  Psalm 34:1 says, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." கர்த்தர் எனக்கு நன்

"God protects us from visible and invisible enemies."

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. Psalm 121:8. The Lord will guard our going out and our coming in. 'Going out' refers to a person leaving home in the morning for labor, and 'coming in' refers to their return home after work. He will guard and protect every area of our lives. Today's promise is that the Lord watches over His people every day. When we come before the Lord in prayer and lift all things up to Him, simply trusting Him at His word, we invite Him into those areas of our lives. We enable His mighty hand to move in unseen ways to protect us from threats that we cannot see. We have an invisible enemy who desires to destroy us, but when we trust in the Lord and His promises, He will protect us from all evil. As the attack is ongoing, the protection of God is also ongoing. Thus, God wants us to live without fear of evil and evildoers. Hebrews 13:6 says, "So we may boldly say: “The Lor

You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58:11. The Lord wanted his people not just to participate in religious practices but to reflect their hearts in serving those around them. If they obeyed, the Lord promised to bless them immensely. There is a blessing attached to our obedience. The Lord desires to bless all who abide in him. But, just like the children of Israel, the Lord wants us to do the work that pleases him. In today's verse, our God is not only the provider of all our physical needs, but He is also the fountain of peace and forgiveness, the wellspring of grace and strength, and the never-failing streams of salvation and safety. Jeremiah 17:8 says, "For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit." நீ நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சல

"Live humbly, esteeming others highly."

Image
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:26. Apostle Paul has been describing how those in Christ should live. In today's verse, he mentions three things: not to be conceited, proud, or arrogant. If we are, we go against the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and bring 'sorrow to God's Spirit by the way' we live. That's why Paul taught the new believers to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, we should be kind to each other, tenderhearted, and forgiving one another, just as God, through Christ, has forgiven us. In our relationships with people, we should follow the Spirit's lead and let the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) and the life of Jesus come through in our own lives!  As children of God, it matters more how we live than what we do. So, let's displa
